  1. Lions defense has come alive the last 5 plays.
  2. What a horrible set of downs. Sacked and then a useless punt.
  3. I don’t remember that. But one of my first Lions memories was listening to a game from Baltimore in a car when the Lions blocked a punt in the final minute to pull out a stunning victory. Near the end of some mid-1970s season. I believe Bob Reynolds was doing play by play. Found it:
  4. Ken Daniele just said Larkin possibly back Monday, but more likely Wednesday.
  5. For Gawd’s sake, first buffering of the night comes 6 minutes in …and i miss a goal again!! 1-0 Flyers.
  6. For sure, or holding penalty. Surely a 30 yard FG attempt, which the long reception had already set up, is a higher % play than the chance of breaking a run up the middle for a 15 yard TD.
  7. Thank you Bengals!!
  8. Huge 4th down stop. Golden chance down for Bengals. Only need 20 yards or so.
  9. How is that not interference!?
  10. OT. Bengals get the ball first. I think the tie is almost as Vikings loss, for the Lions.
  11. Ha, I jus5 thought it had suddenly become cloudy. Bengals’ pick-6 called back for an obvious offside.
  12. Graphic comes up on screen that Minnesota's 166 minutes without giving up a TD is the longest in the NFL this season. Very next play ... Bengals TD. Minnesota still likely to win and close to within 1.5 games of the Lions though. 17-10 Vikings, beginning of the 4th quarter.
  13. https://www.si.com/college/2023/12/15/alabama-hires-michigan-ex-assistant-coach-college-football-playoff-rose-bowl Alabama has hired former Michigan assistant coach George Helow to a role on its coaching staff this week, The Athletic first reported. Helow spent the 2021 and ’22 seasons as Michigan’s linebackers coach, but he and the team agreed to part ways ahead of the 2023 season. He spent this year away from college football but got his start in coaching with Alabama as an intern in 2012. I actually think this is hilarious. Have to hand it to Saban.
  14. I agree. The Wings have 3 goalies on the NHL rosters, all backup quality.
  15. A Husso howler. Ugh. 2-1 Canes.
  16. How long until he catches DeBrincat. 13-7 at the moment.
  17. ESPN announcers:”Husso has given up 4+ goals in three straight games, six of past 8. Goals against average not good, save percentage not good. But he wins, that’s important. He wins high-scoring games”. Hmm, how many goals has Husso scored, how many points?
  18. Missed the Carolina goal because the NHL.com app on my TV was buffering. Happens way too often! I just want to be able, for the $200/season I’m paying, to watch the Wings as dependably as any cable station
  19. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/39099218/vikings-start-nick-mullens-qb-bengals The Minnesota Vikings have named quarterback Nick Mullens their starter for Saturday's game at the Cincinnati Bengals, coach Kevin O'Connell said Tuesday. Mullens, who entered the season as the Vikings' No. 2 quarterback, will become the fourth different starter in a seven-game stretch for a team that is in strong position for an NFC wild-card playoff spot. He was on injured reserve because of a back injury when Kirk Cousins ruptured his right Achilles tendon in Week 8, forcing rookie Jaren Hall to make one start and newcomer Joshua Dobbs to make four others. But Mullens had recovered enough for the Vikings to activate him in Week 11, and he led their only scoring drive Sunday after replacing Dobbs in the fourth quarter of a 3-0 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders.
  20. I heard he killed 16 Green Bay Czechoslovakians last night.
  21. Huge win given all that has gone on the past week with the Wings. The Wings are showing depth.
  22. Great hustle by Veleno to get there and chip it out and then by Rasmussen to chase it down for the ENG.
