I’m oddly confident that Montero will have a decent start today. Something like 3 runs in 5 2/3 innings. Not superb, but if the Tigers would get a clutch hit for a change it could be good enough.

Hinch has already come out and said that if the Tigers have a playoff spot clinched already then he won't pitch Skubal tomorrow.

I don’t think so. They can’t win their division. They’ve clinched a playoff spot. So they will be either the #5 or #6 seed. If they win another game they will be #5 and play the AL East runner up. If they lose their last two they might drop to #6 and play the AL Central winner. Who would you rather play?

So the City Connect jerseys of the “Red” Sox are green. That would be like the Tigers’ City Connect jerseys having elephants on them.

I’m going to go for a pre-game walk and every time I see a college-aged girl on Robson St. wearing a Red Sox cap, like I inevitably will because that’s their thing, I will snarl at them.

The Tigers need to sign a senior citizen (or maybe let’s not give Harris any ideas) so he can write an inspirational and heartwarming letter to the team, like this 80 yard old man from Nova Scotia who plays on a men’s softball team.
