    Ignore the "dynasty" talk in the title. But interesting thoughts at the 9:30 mark comparing how the Stafford for Goff + picks trade could end up working out like the Grant Hill for Ben Wallace trade.

    I forgot the Panthers are only one game out of the division lead held by Tampa. Although "chase" may be a strong word for what is going on in the NFC North. If the Lions can get by the Panthers, it sets up a New Year's Eve of watching Michigan-Tulane followed by a New Year's Day of an 8-7 Lions team hosting the Bears.

    And not only are they playing like one of the top 7 NFC teams right now, on a neutral field I think Philly is the only NFC team I'd clearly favor over the Lions. Of course if the Lions do make the playoffs they won't be playing on neutral fields, but still.

    Washington-NYG tie tonight still in play. Giants need to kick this 50-yard FG, Washington score a TD and 2-point conversion in the final 2 minutes, then both mess around in OT. Update: Step 1, FG is made. Now an 8-point game with 1:55 to go.

    Really? I was thinking of cheering for the Giants. Given their schedules and given that I think NYG is a bit better team, I more like the chances of the Commanders losing at least one of their final 3 games.

    Wings didn't do much in the 3rd. Then an ENG clinches it for the Wild, 4-1. Back to back losses, back to back boring games. The Wings are facing biggest test of season now. Need to stop this little slide if they are to remain in sight of the playoffs.

    Wings have around 10 players out, I believe? Goal drought reached several periods until Soderblom gave the Wings a lifeline late in 2nd - only for Wild to get it back 15 seconds later. 3-1 Minnesota after 2.
