  1. Twins won today. Their magic number is now 2 on the Guardians, 1 on the Tigers. Reese Olson taking to the hill to keep our season alive!
  2. And a loss too! Dodgers 3 Tigers 2, final.
  3. With his single tonight …
  4. Lange bidding for a 4-out save.
  5. The Tigers blow a big chance to extend the lead in the 7th. Runners on 1st and 3rd with 0 outs. But a play at the plate kills the rally.
  6. Made me wonder how many other well-known players have played for both the Tigers and Dodgers. I Google'd it. 167 players have played for both teams, with Brad Ausmus and Curtis Granderson being two recognizable ones.
  7. I don't think TJ means as long away for position pitchers as it does for pitchers. May be wrong though. 2-1 Tigers after 6.
  8. I wouldn’t be good at that sort of stuff. I once was brought in as a life model at a Nymphomaniacs Anonymous meeting, and by the end of that session the 10 women all walked out completely cured of their disorder.
  9. If someone could lure him into masturbating on a Zoom call, could the Tigers get out of the $98mm contract?
  10. Reminds me a bit of Fred Lynn. One of my earliest baseball memories is of Lynn crashing into the CF wall during the ‘75 World Series as a rookie. https://www.vintagedetroit.com/how-things-went-wrong-for-surefire-hall-of-famer-fred-lynn/
  11. An X poster, Iffy, tweeted that Dickerson was talking about Greene and TJ possibilities for several minutes on last night's radio broadcast.
  12. But the fact goalies can take forever to develop is exactly why I think they're too unpredictable to burn a mid-1st round pick on. I question whether the Wings would have done so if they didn't already have another 1st round pick, Edvinsson. If organizational depth in net is weak, as it was with the Wings, then fine, pick the best goalie left ... in the 3rd round. Cossa and Wallstedt were the only goalies taken within the first 77 picks of that draft.
  13. Anyone else getting nervous about Riley Greene’s injury?
  14. Jake Rogers reaches 20 home runs. He has had 307 ABs. Carpenter also has 20, in 374 ABs. 5-3 Dodgers.
  15. I didn’t like the Cossa pick at the time, and nothing since has given me a warm, fuzzy feeling. I’d be open to trading him because he probably still has value.
  16. And John Davidson as President, in his second stint with Columbus. Over his time with the Blues, Rangers and Jackets, what good has he ever accomplished. He should have just stuck with the broadcast booth, where he was great. I'm not comparing him to Matt Millen ... but maybe I am.
  17. That was a play right out of the Rugby World Cup in the Pats-Dolphins game on 4th down right now.
  18. And the Cardinals only won 83 games in 2006.
  19. If the Tigers go 8-5 the rest of the way (probably a tough ask with 3 at the Dodgers coming up), their 78-84 would mean they played almost a full season at a game over .500 after the 2-9 start. Twins are 79-71 so probably will end up winning 85 or 86 games. That’s still low for a division winner but not unprecedented
