Guys he put ahead of Edvinsson who had been drafted lower are Dylan Guenther, Wyatt Johnston, William Elkund, Matthew Knies and Logan Stankoven. Still has Cossa at the top goalie, with Wallstedt next at 35th. Luke Hughes is ranked #1 overall followed by Guenther, Johnston, Mason McTavish and Matty Beniers. The Tigers are 18-9 this season against the AL East. Including 10-5 against Toronto/Boston/New York.

Tigers again have the best record in the American League, by a 1/2 game over Toronto. And this is how close the Tigers are to a bye. If they simply go 6-10 the rest of the way, the Astros would need to go 12-4 or the Mariners 13-4 to finish ahead of the Tigers.

11-1. The Tigers have a chance to win back to back road games by double digits. Doubt that happens very often, especially at Yankee Stadium.

Guardians lose. Magic number 9.

Astros lose. Tigers 5 games up on Houston for the bye with 17 games to go, plus the tiebreaker win. That SHOULD be safe. 6.5 games up on Seattle but with a tiebreaker loss.

Houston up 3-1 on Toronto in the 9th but the Jays have the bases loaded with 1 out. There are pro and cons regardless of who wins or loses, so I will just let it play out.

Ok, 9 is acceptable.

I am cautiously optimistic that the Tigers have a 2nd starting pitcher again.

If the Guardians win tonight and tomorrow and the Tigers lose tonight and tomorrow, the Guardians will control their own destiny with respect to the division title.

Astros lose in the 12th! Tigers remain 4 up in the “race” for the bye.
