  1. Tigers win! 4-game lead for the bye into the ALDS!
  2. Keith had a really slow start, so to now be sitting at .783 OPS for the season is an impressive fight back.
  3. Save some runs for the next two games against tough pitchers! 10-0 Tigers.
  4. Sweeney, a bona fide major leaguer if I ever saw one, lol. 9-0 Tigers,
  5. What an outing for Jack. One shaky inning followed by six superb innings. 6-0 Tigers at the 7th inning stretch.
  6. Correa stopped it from being 7-0.
  7. More good news: the seats behind home plate seem well-populated. I assume the lounge under the seats is now open?
  8. A rare quote of mine that ages well. 5-0 Tigers!
  9. Arrighetti can be had. Time for some insurance.
  10. Another good inning from Flaherty, with perhaps an assist from the ump on the strikeout. 5 IP 0 R 3H 1BB 8K
  11. And then leaves no doubt a few pitches later! 1-0 TIgers.
  12. Perez hit it 2 seats foul.
  13. Nice diving catch by Melton on Greene prevents a Tigers run. 0-0 after 3.
  14. You think the Tigers would be the underdog in a Skubal start at home?
  15. 6-pitch 1-2-3 inning for Flaherty. He needed that. Gets him almost back on track with respect to pitch count, which is at 51.
  16. Inning-ending double play. Of course.
  17. Still don't understand why Tork and Perez weren't running though. That ball never looked like it was going to be caught.
  18. Dan D called that a homer in real time. Says he lost it.
  19. Has the feel of a 5-inning outing for Flaherty, but so far 0 runs through 2 innings.
  20. Flaherty starts have so much traffic. Bases loaded, 2 out.
  21. Few fanbases more than Cincinnati, IMO.
  22. Fair point. And really, as a team sponsor, would Saul Goodman & Associates be that much of a step down from Fieger Law?
  23. Last I checked Albuquerque had a real meth problem. Even high school teachers and fast food managers were enmeshed in it.
  24. Houston took 2 of the 3 to win the first series with the Tigers this season. So to be assured of a tiebreaker advantage, the Tigers need to sweep. Winning 2 of 3 would put the Tigers in good shape though because the 2nd tiebreaker is one’s record within one’s own division, even when the tie involves teams from separate divisions. Right now, the Tigers’ record against the AL Central is much better than the Astros’ record against the AL West.
  25. Now the the math is even more in the Tigers' favour. If the Tigers go 17-19 the rest of the way, they'd finish at 90-72. To match the Tigers at 90 wins (let's give the Guardians the tiebreaker as an assumption), the Guardians would need to finish 27-12 (.692 pace). If the Tigers go 18-18 the rest of the way to finish at 91-71, the Guardians would have to go 28-11 to match (.718 pace).
