Aren't Dawel Lugo, Jose King or Sergio Alcantara ready yet? (worst Tiger trade in my lifetime) -

Well you remember when that rich guy Leo Farnsworth bought the Rams and then wanted to make himself QB. He was in his 40s. He would have made the team if he had have disappeared. What was season that was for the Rams. First their QB, Joe Pendleton gets hit by a truck on his bike and killed and then their owner vanishes and they still win the Super Bowl. -

Whomever they send down (I think it'll be Red Cheeks), I think that person will likely be in the rotation by April 15th. It's been a parade of injuries for starting pitchers and the Tigers fans are the ones walking behind with giant shovels to pick up the poop. -

Plus, keep in mind, he's not Scott Harris' signing. Chris would have to okay a release. Maybe he gets an injury and solves everyone's problem. But they still need an everyday shortstop other than Baez to be able to come in. I sure hope that doesn't mean bringing Zack Short back. Can we aim higher? -

I don't know if Javy's sticking around. They certainly wouldn't cut him now, but if we're 50 games in and he's anything like this, they might just cut their losses. I think the end of Spring Training tells a lot. The end of Spring Training is when guys suddenly become available. If they go and get a real Shortstop, even one that can hit .240 and be average on defense (that they can park in Toledo), it might be a sign that they're willing to part with him. It's been pretty close to an epic disaster so far, but there were some salvageable things in the first year (home runs), but not last year. The defense, he's good but is he? Really? 45 errors in two years, a .958 fielding pct. Doesn't sound good to me. If he's going to be this putrid at the plate, I think he's got to be better than that defensively, especially with ground ball pitchers and an iffy 2nd baseman. The disaster didn't matter the last two years because they had no expectations, but this year they should have at least the expectation that they'll be within striking distance into September. Especially in this division. I don't think I'm the only one that believes you can win this division at .500. If he's not bringing anything at all, then why keep going? Sometimes it's best to just admit you made a mistake. It ain't MY money. I really really hope he makes all this speculation useless by doing something. There has to be shortstops out there somewhere. Is career average (.256/.298/.744 with 20-25 HR) too much to ask? If you're hoping Chris puts money forth to sign a big name free agent in the future, this might be the reason why he doesn't. But honestly, building from within is the way to go, anyway. Tigers bad free agent signings All-Time. 1. Jordan Zimmermann 2. Javier Baez (as of now) Who would be #3? -

Very difficult decisions will have to be made soon. Is it safer to stay here and wait for rescue or should I go out and pursue rescue? Who knows how far I'll have to go to find any evidence of life. We have enough supplies to last until mid-April, but if recuse doesn't happen by then some very drastic decision might have to be made, like, do I actually eat that $1 frozen Michelina pasta primavera that has been in my freezer since 2018? I will do my best to keep you posted on our plight. My dog Lucy is staying as upbeat as she can. She's playing it off like she doesn't care. Her bravery knows no bounds (except when there's thunder). I need to save my strength for the desperate, dangerous days ahead. Until then, be careful and please let me know if the Tigers release Javy Baez.

Tonight's game may have saved the whole season, but based on tonight.................I know this won't happen because everyone is so stat-obsessed, but I think Dylan Larking should be on a short list for Hart Trophy finalists. Supposed to be for MVP, right? Most Valuable doesn't have to mean Best Stats. They have another award for that. He really is extremely valuable to this team. Tonight showed it. Tonight the team played at a different level.

Just used to being disappointed by the Tigers by May 1st. Hope they break the streak this year.

Not since Biggie Bagel's heart attack. Let the poor bagel recover.

The bit where they send Venus and Johnny to the Transmitter site because of a bomb threat.............Hilarious, and that actually happened to me when I worked at WDRQ in Detroit, probably 2002/2003. (WJR gets bomb threats more than anyone would care to believe, but something about this one was very specific that it scared them a bit). The transmitter room was part of a Hebrew school near 10 mile Rd & the Lodge. You know where all those towers are. There is NOTHING to do there, the students were hanging out watching me do radio. They thought it was more glamorous. The fact that Johnny believed there were Phone Cops who were out to get him for smashing a phone was priceless. I've known radio people that were on the paranoid side. Maybe have been chemically-related.

When I was a kid (about 12 or so) SOAP was a series on ABC. It was a comedic spoof of Soap Operas and it dealt with a lot of adult themes, sexual innuendo and had the first openly gay regular character (played by Billy Crystal). I was not allowed to watch SOAP, but I did anyway. I would hide under the piano, blocked by the bench and watch. I did this because I often heard my parents laughing loudly. It was very funny. This is the scene where I burst out laughing and got caught. I was allowed to watch it after this.

Gas prices are up again and that'll matter more than all the indictments on Trump. All Biden's fault. Biden controls all the oil.

We had 9 days over 60 with 4 of those over 70 during the Winter and now that it's spring the Wind Chill is 9 degrees. Mother Nature is an asshole. April 5th (as of now) looks like 58 and partly sunny. That'll change.

What the hell is "just a common domestic abuse"? Should there even be such a thing. It's bad enough if he abused her, but to me, it's worse when you add the fact that he's a football player - stronger than almost anyone else. It's just not acceptable in any way. Go punch a wall. IF he did it....we haven't heard the whole story. And Ray Rice never did play again, but after the news broke that he KNOCKED OUT his fiancée, he got a standing ovation at training camp. Then the video came out. I love football too but it's kind of sick how much we value it. Maybe Joe Mixon got off because he was still a college kid, but I don't see that as an excuse. He was an adult, and again, being a football player adds another level to it. These guys get praised and then get rich for doing somethin violent. Some of them can't turn that off. I find it puzzling that people seemed to be okay with Mixon but shocked and appalled that Laremy Tunsil was smoking weed through a gas mask. I would guess the vast majority of college students have smoked weed. When the Dolphins drafted him the team President said "I smoked marijuana in college, I turned out alright." The gas mask thing was pretty cool actually, but maybe it's best not to allow yourself to be filmed doing something illegal. It was his step dad that leaked it. Thanksgiving must be fun in that family. -
I don't know. I think a lot of people will hold their nose and vote for Biden. I certainly hope so. I don't know why they'd have to hold their nose. But again, you can talk about low unemployment and a soaring stock market and economic growth all you want, but as long as groceries, heat, gas and all that are expensive, it's going to be his fault (when it's not his fault and we're much better off than most of the world). I'm proudly voting for Biden, I think he's doing a good job. He's far from perfect, but I never asked for perfect and I don't need excitement either. Biden is like a good home plate umpire, you never have any reason to know their name because they're just doing their job correctly. Trump's crimes? They don't mean a thing to the Right. They are so full of hate that they adore the most hateful person to run since Pat Buchanan, who seems likeable by today's standards.

I have never seen the guy. Not only did he attack two elderly sisters in their home in my neighborhood, he attacked a 13 year old girl in Allen Park the same day. If he somehow gets out he'd better stay away from our neighborhood. People are really REALLY angry over this. People want a piece of this guy. Jail's the safest place for him. Based on his crimes, he should be thrown under the jail. His name is Michael Holcomb. This is what 52 looks like? I guess when you have the weight of being a degenerate scumbag on your shoulders it ages you. https://www.wxyz.com/news/man-arraigned-in-heinous-attack-for-allegedly-abusing-raping-2-elderly-sisters?utm_term=wxyz,news,detroit,7 action news, homepage showcase, metro detroit, local news&utm_source=pushly

This is what it's like trying to explain to people on Facebook why the Tigers can't just send Javy to the minors Question regarding the video. What if he had accomplished his mission here? -
I guess that bar was just trouble. They shut it down (for now). I lock my doors at night but I've never been paranoid about it, but people are just crazy now. So many crazy, desperate and angry people. Why? Life didn't get you all you wanted? Maybe that's on YOU ! I think this is, in part, a symptom for cutting so much funding for mental health.

Stellar ****ing week, downriver. Man rapes a 90 and 87 year old in Dearborn, a shooting at Fairlane, Head-on collision with a drunk driver in Southgate kills someone, and a mom in Wayne beat her 8 year old to death. What the ****?
-
Well, Oblong and I live in a neighborhood where a guy attacked two elderly women (sexually and physically). (I think Ob still lives here). One of the women is 90. Both are in the hospital and probably will live in fear the rest of their lives. Castration would not be enough.

I had a dream. Six Tigers got one-year suspensions for gambling. Greene, Tork, Rogers and Mize. I can't recall the other two. Season's over, man, Manfred dropped the big one. -
