So Elon Mush's Twitter headquarters has no janitors and workers are being told to bring their own toilet paper. Takeout food containers are piling up and just sitting there and parts of the building smell like a combination of rotting food, overflowing toilets and B.O. LOL. Kind of like Mush's mind. Remember, he was born rich, never built a Lemmydamned thing and has lied about his education. He's the ultimate Mr. Take Credit. He lies so much he could run for Congress on Long Island and win.

1,000 athletes dead from COViD vaccine? So THAT"S why the Tigers haven't signed anybody of note..........they're all dead ! Scott Harris, I apologize.

The commercial where Drew Barryman is sitting at a restaurant yelling YES YES YES YES at her cellphone makes me want to punch my TV screen. First of all, if you're spoofing When Harry Met Sally..........that's 35 years ago and it's been spoofed to death........It would be as lame as someone yelling SHOW ME THE MONEY at this point. Secondly, it's LOUD and JARRING. Whatever she's selling, I don't want it because of the commercial. Advertisers, just being loud is not a selling point!

a bank account in China while President of the U.S. ? Well that's interesting.

He's done. It's sad because he finally lived up to expectations this year, but it's just too risky now. I am just thinking of the stories in 2032 or 2033 of how screwed up he's going to be and how sad it is and how everyone will pledge to do more, but they won't.

I remember trying to buy a digital camera when they were new. Willing to spend several hundred dollars and they had one of the model I wanted in a locked case and could not find the key. So, $450 sale down the tubes because you don't have a key? What the actual fuck? Then they told me a different Best Buy had it - and they didn't and I don't even think the first store really called. The saleslady seemed to be annoyed that we needed help buying something - you know, at a store. Place is a nightmare. That place you mentioned Oblong, I bought my cellphone there, but didn't think of that place, but I wound up getting a 19" monitor for $60 at MicroCenter. It's only for working at home (for the hospital gig) because I had been using one 40" TV, but I need multiple screens to work at a good pace, so I bought the $10 VGA monitor at Goodwill and then the one I got today (yes, tax write-offs because they are only used for work). Hooked up the laptop to test it tonight and the laptop can't detect a second monitor. But here's the frustrating part...........When it was TV/VGA it detected both with no problem, but that set up took up way too much space and the unbalanced size of the text would probably give me headaches after awhile. Why won't it recognize both now? I don't get it. The TV was HDMI and the new monitor is HDMI. Uggggghhhh ! I tried to update the drivers but it's a work machine and an IT has to do that, so I will wait until January 3rd. Very frustrating.

Many years ago I got a credit card through Best Buy. I had it maybe for 3 weeks before odd purchases started popping up, sometimes in different states only a couple minutes apart. I think it had a limit of $1000, but somehow over $5000 of purchases were made. The credit card company caught it and I was not charged. They asked me about the second card. What second card? Well a second card was sent to someone with the same last name as my mother's maiden name (but no first name was attached to the second card - odd, eh?) which was a question on the application. No address was linked to this second card, it was sent to the Best Buy where I got the original. In other words - an employee probably did it. I have rarely shopped there since. Only for a few small specialty items I could not find elsewhere and ALWAYS in cash. That place gives me the willies. Anyway, I need to buy a new computer monitor - 19" - nothing special, just a functioning monitor with HDMI (Goodwill always has monitors for cheap, but never HDMI). I am off work until January 4th so I already priced it out and I am going to make my yearly visit to Micro Center in Madison Heights. On the way home from work yesterday I swung by Best Buy........just to take a look and see if their prices were within 10-15 bucks of Micro Center. Nope, they were DOUBLE. In fact, everything in that store is more expensive....or at least it seems that way. Plus the last few times I have been in that place it's been practically empty. When I go to the Meijer next door their lot is almost always close to empty. I'm starting to believe that Best Buy is a front to launder money. With it being so expensive and so empty, how are they staying afloat. Glad there is Amazon, so I can get specialty things fairly quickly, but sometimes it's an emergency and I am stuck with going into that awful Best Buy store. Place gives me the creeps. I doubt Staples or Office Max has monitors as low as Micro Center. I'd like to avoid that drive in the rain, ah, but what the heck, I need to get out of the house/office anyway, it's 55 degrees out.

That's me too. All I said was Who the Fuck is Andrew Tate and why should I care about how many fucking cars he has? People who brag about money and possessions are insecure and sad. Anybody that has to convince you how great they are is a loser at heart. If you're truly great, you don't need to remind people.

When I was President of England, we would have never allowed such lies.
-
So, Did George Santos break any laws? Or is it up to the voters to figure out what is true or not? And will this matter? Most politicians lie............not to THIS extent, but most lie. Back when I was in Congress and authored a bill to allow us to keep breathing national air without paying a tax on it, I remember hearing a few lies on the floor.

COACHING HOT SEAT Already in the ER with 3rd degree burns on their bottoms are Frank Reich, Matt Rhule and now Nathaniel Hackett, which most people saw coming around.......well.........Week 1. So the new rankings are #1 Kliff Kingsbury, Arizona. Surprised he made it this far. #2 Arthur Smith, Atlanta. Do I think he gets fired? No, but his game management is awful. #3 Kevin Stefanski, Cleveland. Someone's going to take the blame for another disappointing season #4 Todd Bowles, Tampa Bay. It's going to depend on Tom Brady, but it shouldn't and another black Head Coach being a One-And-Done will give more weight to Brian Flores' claims #4 Josh McDaniel, Las Vegas. I think he's done just enough to keep his job, for now, but the Davis family is impatient That's it. I think everyone is safe. Dennis Allen in New Orleans could be a bubble guy is someone irresistible comes along. Sean McVay could walk away. Pete Carroll could decide to retire but the way Russ has played in Denver makes me believe Pete really is a mad genius and Russ was never all that great. So the openings are or will likely be Arizona - Seattle OC Shane Waldron could end up here Carolina - Could this be a spot for Lions OC Ben Johnson? Denver - Forget about Eric Bieniemy..........way too much personal baggage. Indianapolis - If Jim Harbaugh happens to win it all at Michigan, he could jump Los Angeles Rams - If McVay leaves, Sean Payton comes here

Tua is done. Unless they can come up with a helmet or something that prevents your head from whipping around...........and if they did I don't know how a QB could play with that.

I was at that game............it only made us louder when they made those threats.

2022-23 Detroit Tigers Offseason Thread
Motor City Sonics replied to chasfh's topic in Detroit Tigers
I remember the story was that Hinch was giving Correa a gift for his new baby. Maybe it was so heavy it caused an injury that is messing up his offseason. -
Trying to think of a bigger bust than Russell Wilson in Denver. Maybe it was mostly Pete Carroll. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy, right? Just for fun I am going to name one major bust for each of our local pro teams...... Nate Colbert with the Tigers - Padres knew when to cut ties. At least the players we gave up never did much. Pat Swilling with the Lions - Might have been a case of the Lions not know how to use him. Willie Roaf (the draft pick used by the Saints) wound up being great. Uwe Krupp with the Red Wings - Straight up stole from the Wings and he had the nerve to be in the team picture on the ice the night they won the cup in 2002. He played a total of 30 games, 8 in 2022. GET OUT OF THE PICTURE, YOU DID NOTHING ! GO PLAY WITH YOUR SLED DOGS! Allen Iverson with the Pistons - I know I am not alone but when the Pistons made this trade I knew this was going to be bad. One of the most selfish players to ever play a pro sport and it's why he never got a ring. It's Christmas and that might be the only reason Nathaniel "Can't" Hackett didn't axed today. It might happen tomorrow. I know, only two games left, but this is rock-bottom. They only hired him to woo Aaron Rodgers.
