  1. That building that looks like Tron is the new Hudson's Building. I think that's the name. I don't think it's fully open yet.
  2. This is really good to see. He's enjoying it again. That'll get him through the rough stretch that no doubt will come up (because it does for every player).
  3. Montero is not very good this year
  4. Most of us were wrong. Most of us wanted him gone. But he's another week of starts away from qualifying for the batting race and at this point he'd be close to the Top 10. He's been outstanding in Center, too And suddenly the Tigers don't need to rush Vierling or Meadows back. I think Sweeney has taken notice too, the way he's hitting lately. .425 in his last 10 games. When Vierling and Meadows come back (if for Meadows), someone's getting squeezed out. They all know it and they're playing their guts out because of it. This has been an amazing turnaround for Baez. I have my theory. When Baez is just one of several good players, he just plays ball and he's still decent. When he is asked to carry a team, like when he got here, he tries too hard, doesn't relax -- tries to force things. I mean, anything north of .250 for this guy over the full season is a win, right?
  5. and always teams that seem to have something bad happen to them. Wanna end this speculation? Make the whole process public for everyone to see.
  6. Cooper Flagg isn't anywhere near Luka right now. Not even close.
  7. I mean, part of me thought that the NBA secretly paid the Mavs to trade Luka to LA so they could have LeBron & Luka together. I think that way because I can't understand any reason why the would have made the trade. And now this? Yeah, makes you wonder, doesn't it?
  8. Still only one out. Okay, two
  9. They're gonna have to pull Jobe because his arm has stiffened up due to lengthy inaction. Do it again, Riley.
  10. Wow. The pitcher didn't cover first base. Yep, he's totally unraveled.
  11. Next hitter is getting plunked.
  12. TREY SWEENY MAKES IT BERT AND A HALF !!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. Wow, HBP right after that. Ump may want to have a word with the pitcher.
  14. The Red Sox message boards have to be fun right now.
  15. WOW, THE ROUND TRIPPER LITTLE LEAGUE HOME RUN TOOK US TO BERT LAND !
  16. Well that was fun. Bad News Bears play out there. That ain't Dwight Evans out there anymore.
  17. Hey, we all know they were kind of overachieving to this point, but the giveupism should not be in play from the fans. It's a long season and at some point your flaws will show. The Angels and Rockies are terrible baseball teams and the Tigers did exactly what a good team is supposed to do. They went 6-1. Even losing these two games puts the Tigers at 14-5 at home. I am more concerned with losing Casey Mize and wondering if Jack is hurting right now. Looks like we're getting our first Frankenstein pitching day Tuesday. Jackson Jobe will be back and not pitching at Coors Field. I don't think he'll have PTSD from that experience. Imagine a young pitcher having to start 15 games a year in that place. Yikes.
  18. Bert. It's baseball season. Even losing a game can't dampen things too much.
  19. I am not one of these Hank Hill folks with my lawn. My lawn will never be as nice as the one across the street. But I do take pride in taking care of it MYSELF. But that, and constantly having to pull weeds and take care of all of it......man - I didn't go to see Fontaines DC this Wednesday, even though I could have free tickets through my job. Because it was a midweek show (I get off the air at 7. I can cheat and bolt at 6:15, I am the boss, after all). - I am struggling to keep up with yard work - Not going to the Tiger game (because I am going to Mum's later) - Meds for cholesterol, blood pressure and Kratom -- just to maintain THIS AGING THING SUCKS. You can keep your ****ing 10% discounts, I hate this ****. What the hell happend. Two weeks ago I was in high school. I feel like handing over my yard work to another............it feels like you might as well put me on the flaming raft and send me out to see. I feel like that is conceding to old age. I'm not in a mansion here. I am in a 3-bedroom bungalow with a small yard on each side. Someone make it stop.
  20. Okay, so it's 5-0. But there's still a chance today.
  21. Oh, come on, it's 162. Gonne run into some ruts here and there. They've built up a lot of wins that gives them a bit of a cushion for that. We all knew this would happen at some point. Besides, it's one game, so far. It's only 3-0 and we all know this team can strike fast. In other news. I'm on drugs. they're legal ones, mind you, but not good. And no, not weed. It's one that I would say is Caffeine Plus, but it's expensive and my 60 year old arse needs frequent jump starts. I had tickets to today's game. Free tickets, but 14 hour work days and then house.yard upkeep - I just couldn't do it (the game). I am leaning towards the realization that this might be my last year doing my own yard work. And that is horrifying to me.
