  1. St. Brown - the steal of the draft.
  2. Neil Young used to fight with his label. He did the Trans album with the computerized voice and electronic stuff. Label rejected it. He left the label. Weird album, no hits, but he's freaking Neil Young. Geffen signed him and let him release it. He came back and gave them real Neil Young albums after that. He wanted to make a Kraftwerk album. Dude's a legend, leave him alone.
  3. I would love to know the reason. He took those songs and modernized them. Great songs and it sounds contemporary.
  4. There's a hole in my neighborhood down which, of late, I cannot help but fall.
  5. Urban Meyer will probably say "I knew he was going to do that so I benched him".
  6. Tim Boyle will have a huge game today. I'm being serious. St. Brown will have his first 100 yard game. Brock Wright will have a good game too.
  7. So he made this album in 2001 of re-done versions songs he wrote before Space Oddity. It's called Toy. His record company rejected it. About 10 years later much of it leaked (Bowie himself leaked it) and it is part of a box set. It's a great album. Why they rejected it, I don't know. Record companies also told Ben Folds that he couldn't do a solo piano tour, it would kill is career. They also told Sarah McLachlan putting a festival tour together with all female artists would end her career. She made millions off it. Toy gets a stand-alone release the day before what would have been Bowie's 75th birthday, January 7th, 2022. Creepy cover, though.
  8. I am a big fan of Paul Thomas Anderson and I really liked Licorice Pizza. Not his best, it was definitely a lighter touch for PTA. Not as intense as most of his movies. Cooper Hoffman and Alana Haim are pretty good actors for no experience. Its not my favorite PTA movie, which is still Magnolia, by far. It was not as intense and there wasn't the feeling of impending doom. I know some people will freak at the idea of a 15 year old boy and 25 year old girl falling for each other, but he is far more mature than at typical 15 year old and she is still like a high school kid, living at home with her parents and sisters (her entire real life Haim family) so I kind of get it. If they were 22 and 32 nobody would care. Couple of things. They did use some real names, like Jon Peters, Barbara Streisand's boyfriend in the 70s and from the things I've read about him, Bradley Cooper's creepy and obnoxious performance was accurate. Peters two-scene performance is similar to Alfred Molina's movie-stealing scene in Boogie Nights, just not as intense. Peters is still alive, I wonder what he things of it - because it ain't flattering, but it was strangely funny. Also, I never knew this, but pinball was banned in parts of California from 1939-1974. Seems silly, but I guess people gambled on it and the mob got in on it and rigged pinball machines........LOL.
  9. Well, we've got 9 days left in the year...............
  10. Most eloquent Resisting Arrest ever?
  11. Merry Princemas................Owwwwaaa !
  12. So that damn band played their conference without testing themselves first. I blame Anthrax too !
  13. Who here has really good Photoshop skills? I know Bertie does but he is non-political I need someone to photoshop JFK Jr. at a Dallas Cowboys game. Age him about 20 years, well, 15, he's a celebrity. If you can have him holding a drinking cup that says Clorox Bleach, even better. I want to post it all over the internet and drive the Q people crazy.
  14. I strongly encourage this.
  15. LOL. Temporary..............that's a good one. This is life now. This is normal now.
  16. NHL shut down through Christmas. No more border crossing games? What a mess. The league needs to realign to always have an all Canadian division. So move the Coyotes to Quebec already. Canadian Conference Calgary Flames Edmonton Oilers Montreal Canadiens Ottawa Senators Quebec Nordiques Toronto Maple Leafs Vancouver Canucks Winnipeg Jets Eastern Conference Boston Bruins Carolina Hurricanes New Jersey Devils New York Islanders New York Rangers Philadelphia Flyers Pittsburgh Penguins Washington Capitols Central Conference Buffalo Sabres Chicago Balackhawks Columbus BlueJackets Detroit Red Wings Florida Panthers Minnesota Wild Nashville Preadtors Tampa Bay Lightning Western Conference Anaheim Ducks Colorado Avalanche Dallas Stars Los Angeles Kings St. Louis Blues San Jose Sharks Seattle Kraken Vegas Golden Knights Top 4 teams in each conference make the playoffs. First round 1 vs. 4 / 2 vs. 3, After each division settles it, the rest of the playoffs seeded by total points in regular season. No more East vs. West. I think it would be better for the game overall to always have a team from Canada in the final 4. You could also consider keeping the Coyotes and moving the Sabres to Quebec or Hamilton. Not exactly selling the place out these days in Buffalo.
  17. Yes. I believe the rules are changing as soon as the games are played tonight (Tuesday).
  18. Yes, the Cardinals l,ost by 3 scores, by all means give them much higher grades. Wow.
  19. Think about it. Goff was 21 for 26, no picks (close a time or two, but every QB is) Their #4 running back from the practice squad had 112 yards Their O-Line protected the QB extremely well Their defense was fantastic and they neutralized Kyler Murray. The decimated secondary gave up few big playes Charles Harris was a beast. They had few penalties and none of them resulted in killing a drive or extending a drive for Arizona AZ got in the red zone 4 times and no touchdowns. Very impressive against a "good" team.
  20. Did the Lions play a perfect game yesterday?
  21. Watched a movie with Sandra Bullock called "Unforgivable" on Netflix and thought it was really good. Not the cheeriest film, certainly not a comedy.
  22. Okay, Okay. Lets just say Greene and Tork have incredible Springs (or great starts to the AAA season while baseball is locked out to start the season)........and you start the season with the following roster Catchers - Tucker Barnhart, Erica Haase Infielders - Javier Baez, Miguel Cabrera, Jeimer Candelario, Willi Castro, Harold Castro, Jonathan Schoop Outfielders - Akil Baddoo, Riley Greene, Robert Grossman, Victor Reyes. What's your batting order? Grossman, lf Greene, rf Baez, ss Schoop, 2b Cabreara, dh Candelario, 3b Torkelson, 1b Barnhart, c Baddoo/Reyes, cf
  23. The 2021 Draft so far. 1 - Sewell - has been very good after a few rocky rookie weeks. 2 - Onwuzurike - Hard to grade him because he is part of a rotation, but he has not been bad 3 - McNeill has had some really good flashes and looks like a solid Round 3 guy 3 - Melifonwu - Incomplete 4 - St. Brown - He's become a very good slot receiver/safety valve. Last dropped pass was Week 2. Goff really trusts him now. He might be one of the steals of the draft 4 - Derrick Barnes - He's alright. Not great, pretty decent rookie season for a 4th round guy 7 - Jamar Jefferson - When he was healthy and when he played he was better than a 7th rounder. Draft this well for 2 more years and you might have something.
