Trickle-ON economics is more like it.
This was all predicted.
The thing that just irritates me is there is a small group of very powerful people getting us to fight with each other over whether a guy can wear a dress or abortions while they keep passing laws that cripple everyone but them. How much is enough for these mother****ers?
If we can only get people to pay attention to what they are doing, we, as a people, would be unstoppable. But no, we're fighting over immigration. By the way - we need these immigrants to beef up production, distribution and construction to lead us out of this mess. We should be carving out a path to citizenship and getting them paying taxes in the process (something that liberal Ronald Reagan proposed).
People don't realize how many of their own families came here illegally. I am certain mine did, but over 100 years ago where forging papers was somewhat easy.
It's the Chuck Schmidts and Dave Brandons of the world that piss me off. Get bonuses for destroying things. Funny, but Toys R Us in Canada is thriving these days. Dave had nothing to do with them. I thought bonuses were for performance. If they're automatic, then they are just salaries. The financial "titans" that put us into a deep recession in 2008 got bonuses here in the U.S. In Iceland they threw them in jail.
The biggest way to fix this is changing the ridiculous setup for the Senate. Wyoming with half a million people should not have the same representation as California with 40 million. Washington D.C. with nearly 700,000 people has no representation in the Senate. Wyoming has 2. **** that, lets get real. California, New York, Texas, Florida should all have at least 4 and Wyoming, the Dakotas and Delaware should have 1. DC should have 1 Senator and Puerto Rico should have maybe 1 senator who's vote counts for half a vote. If they have to follow our laws or be a part of the U.S. the deserve some kind of representation. Could you imagine trying to get Hawaii and Alaska statehood these days?
