  1. Turn on the radio and couldn't make it through 5 minutes without turning it off. Valenti and Mr. Lions Hater Rico Beard were hyping up Jalen Carter and talking about how stupid the Lions would be to pass on him at 6. Of course they know full well the Lions aren't going to pick him which is why they are saying this in the first place so they can spend the next 6 months trashing them over whoever they picked. Then of course if somehow the Lions do pick Carter and something goes wrong again with the law or he disrupts the locker room etc. it will be "All the signs were there with him yet they still took him, they preach how meaningful the culture is yet had no problem taking somebody like this knowing full well that this could happen etc. etc."
  2. I trust Brad and I'm not doubting any particular move he has made but even the best GMs make mistakes from time to time so I don't think there is anything wrong with questioning a move that looks pretty egregious on the surface. Again though speaking in generalities and not any specific move he has done.
  3. Every tall European in the 00s was the next Dirk *cough* Darko *cough*
  4. Vick is probably the most athletic/ best running qb of all time(Lamar and Fields are getting close though) and Stroud has had some questions about his mobility so he probably said he inspires him as a subtle strategic play to let teams know that he emulates more than just pure passers and is open to scrambling or running if need be.
  5. I got a speeding ticket like 15 years ago for going 83 on the freeway and in exchange for no points on my record I had to go to one of those defensive driving courses. Giant waste of time, was there for only like an hour and it basically just told you things you already learned in driver's training.
  6. I would not be surprised if on Monday Holmes and Co. contacted all the top LBs or their agents to get a feeling to what they wanted and/or if there was any interest in coming here. If they came across a little apprehensive about coming or their price was too high they said screw it and went back and rewarded AA who they like anyway.
  7. Lol gotta love the NY headlines and yeah it'll be interesting to see how he handles the media there. I don't know much about GB/Milwaukee media but I imagine they are alot more civil and understanding than the NY media.
  8. The good GMs/franchises seem to find those guys at a semi regular basis, not sure if Weaver can though you can argue that Bey and Stewart as flawed as they are may be better than the average player at that spot but I don't have the info to back that up.
  9. I think it should be obvious he was just talking about players, with that said I see very few if any similarities between him and Vick. As Buddha mentioned Vick was an absolute athletic freak along with having one of the strongest arms to ever play in the NFL, Stroud is not like that. Now Watson on the other hand I could see and wouldn't be totally shocked if he hits that ceiling at all.
  10. Fyi ESPN gave the Miles Sanders Panthers deal the same C- they gave the Montgomery deal and while slightly better they gave the Saints a C for the Jamaal deal. Just shows that really no matter who we signed folks with the dont pay for RBs philosophy weren't going to like it. I find that funny though when many of these same folks have rbs ranked higher on their FA lists than players from other positions yet will chastise you for signing one but praise you for signing a player from anther position that they had ranked lower on their rankings to begin with.
  11. If we don't sign Chark I'll be holding out hope that this will mean we will be a possibility for my boy Quentin Johnston in the draft. Not sure if Holmes will want to spend another 1st on a WR but if we don't get him I hope he gets a bigger bodied outside receiver at some point in the draft cause I think having that guy makes the offense so much better as evident of when Chark was healthy and playing.
  12. My fear is that GB will trade Rodgers and then be so bad next year they win the Caleb Williams sweepstakes and we'll have to deal with him for 15-20 years. Even if they don't get Caleb scouts are starting to hype up Drake Maye more and more and while not being an Andrew Luck type prospect like Caleb he is starting to sound like one of those once in 5 or so years type of guys and not just your typical top qb you get every year. So I want them to suck but atleast win 4-5 games.... preferably against the Bears and Vikes.
  13. Gets you somebody that loves you like the Lions love Harris and apparently Okwara.
  14. Yep, I know when you're that size sometimes your weight can fluctuate my 9lbs in any given day but considering this is something you should be busting your ass to get in shape for and it's still not enough motivation for you to at the very least maintain weight then that is a major red flag for me. That's what was also concerning about the racing thing, there were already reports of him having character issues so the thought of you losing millions of dollars and dropping in the draft would be enough motivation to keep your nose clean but nope it wasn't. What's gonna happen when he gets handed a ton of guaranteed money?
  15. I read this as Tork is going to be Aaron Judge.
  16. I think most of the folks with the more advanced metric point of view dont like it but that's just their philosophy is to not sign FA running backs unless its dirt cheap. I don't think people necessarily dislike the player or fit though.
  17. Yeah Id imagine he meant we'd gain more yards with more missed tackles relative to league average in that regard but without saying that it does come across as a Yogi Berra quote.
  18. Montgomery has about the same number of career carries as Jamaal at roughly 900. That's not a small number but I don't think it's a major number either and in theory atleast his shiftiness and ability to make people miss should mean that he has taken less of the devastating direct blows which are of course more taxing on the body.
  19. Lol shows you how much I know.
  20. I didn't know that Great Britain even knew what baseball was.
  21. Its just one rankings but Scouts inc has Anderson at 95, Wilson at 94 and Gonzalez at 93 among defenders. That's only a 1 pt difference but I think the 1 pt jump is more pronounced the higher you get up the scale so I don't think it's unreasonable to think Anderson is in a slight tier above. May not be enough to give up too much for though. Btw for reference last year they had Hutch as the highest graded guy at 94 with Sauce 2nd at 93.
  22. Anderson is my clear option A so if we can get him without giving up too much extra capital I would be perfectly ok with it and honestly if Holmes feels the same way as most of the online rankings and reports feel then I expect him to make a serious push to do just that. From day 1 even back to the start of the season Anderson was seen as the guy ahead of everybody else and it feels like much hasn't changed so if Holmes feels he's a tier to himself I don't expect him to just sit back and hope he falls.
  23. If I was Jermichael Finley or Greg Jennings Id be making sure I was in football shape, you never know if the Jets will be calling if they can't land Lewis or Cobb.
  24. According to Jon Jansen this morning legally Lamar isn't allowed to talk to any teams until I believe tomorrow or sometime later this week. He said the first days teams can only talk to the players agent(who is certified by the NFLPA) and since Lamar is representing himself teams can't talk to him. Judging by his tweet unless it's the Ravens somebody is breaking the rules.
