I tell you this kid has Starr written all over him!

12/6/23 7:00PM EST Memphis Grizzlies @ Detroit Pistons

Vecenie came out with his updated big board and he has Collier from USC number 1. He had the caveat that he wouldn't take any of these guys in the top 4 of the 22 draft or top 5 of the 2023 draft so yeah definitely expecting to win the lottery then. -
As much as it pains me I think I read OSU had the biggest fanbase so they'd prob be 1 followed by the likes of Texas, UM, Bama and ND.

Week Thirteen: Detroit Lions (8-3) @ New Orleans Saints (5-6)

Its funny cause I was just thinking and wondering that when watching the game. Just like Michigan in their all whites, its been atleast since 2020 since their 3 losses since then they wore the white with maize pants(msu loss), all blue against UGA and blue with maize pants against TCU. -
Like most instances its probably the QB but thats a pretty boring pick, not counting him I think Id go with Sewell or St. Brown. Defensively I agree about Sutton, a sleeper pick is Anzalone.

Didn't mean to imply that's how it should be just piggy backing on the post about how high the ratings should be for the UM/Bama semi and how the Playoffs struck gold this year in terms of brand recognition.
-
If you had OSU in for Washington you could argue that the 4 biggest brands in CF made the playoff, assuming the games are close this is about as good of outcome for the powers that be that couldve happened.

I do feel like Glenn should blitz more, it may or may not work but I think it's atleast worth trying. With that said I also think given our injuries and youth that the defense doesn't have the best personnel, they may be a year away but at the moment I think you'd be hard pressed to bring in somebody that would be a whole lot better that's why I just don't go crazy with the Glenn hate even though I naturally wished the defense was better. -

The overall negativity is what wears on me, not singling out any one poster cause alot of people are like this, hell I'm guilty of it at times too but going through posts even after we win that are doom and gloom just gets tiresome to me. I don't expect every post to be a ra ra cheerleader post but jeez this is probably the best Lions team we've seen in decades yet instead of enjoying it its continuous posts about the flaws of the team. Ffs can't we just have some positive posts that point out the things they did or are doing well? Or players that played well instead of just focusing on the guys or things that haven't been good? -
Week Fourteen: Detroit Lions (9-3) @ Chicago Bears (4-8)

Its certainly possible they still lose but if the Lions don't turn it over it would require an overall great game from the Bears and really bad game from the Lions to lose imo. -
The Tigers pitching has seemed to out pitch their skill level and projections since Hinch took over, naturally Fetter has been given most of the credit for that but maybe Hinch has had a hand in it as well? At the very least he may be using the guys in a way that maximizes their performance while not putting them in spots where they are more likely to fail.

Sounds like initial results are that its "only" a sprained ankle for Lawrence. Depending on the severity he certainly can miss some time with that but I think that is a better result for the Jags than some of the alternatives.

A guy on the radio had a good point too, I guess one of the committee members brought up how Bama would be favored in Vegas over FSU as a reason why Bama should be in so the callers like "why and the hell do we need a committee if you're just going to use Vegas odds to come to your conclusion?" So true.

The Packers do have an incredibly easy schedule the rest of the way but it's hard to win 8 games in a row in this league regardless of your opponent unless you are truly elite(which gb isn't) so odds and history suggest they will drop atleast one. -
This one is surprising, weird to see a WR leave OSU considering how many early NFL picks they have churned out at that position.
-
I have a feeling that OSU already told him that they are going after one of the big names in the portal and of OSU goes after them chances are they will be getting them.

Id be fine with crappy weather cause I think that plays to our strengths. It may hurt Goff but it would hurt Fields as well. It prob would turn into a battle on the ground which I think plays right into the Lions hands. -
Manning's lack of swings and misses concerns me. Its just so hard to be a successful pitcher in this league nowadays with a bad K and whiff rate.

On the positive note Mr. Can't say anything negative James Edwards did of course bring up an encouraging albeit small sample stat and that's Cade is shooting 39% from 3 in his last 10. Be nice if he can settle in to atleast around 35-37%. -
Just another big name to add to the portal, mentioned it in another thread but I really hope Michigan doesn't miss out on one of them... unless JJ does come back. Dont want a freshman qb or one of our current backups to be our starter next year.
-
Every Lions fans biggest fear of Jordan Love actually becoming a good qb is starting to come to fruition. Still a small sample size but he has not only looked good of late but elite. Please have this just be a stretch of great play and not the Packers going from Favre to Rodgers to yet another elite qb. They deserve to suffer at that position for a stretch of years just like every other team in football has!
-
To me despite their win against UGA I don't think this Bama team is as good as their past teams and are definitely beatable. I even go as far as to say that UM would beat them 6 or even 7 times out of 10. Our defense is better, our QB is better and we're more experienced. Bama has more athletes and 5 star players but many of those guys are young and a little time away from hitting their potential. Basically if this Bama team was a year older and more experienced think we'd have no shot but right now I think this team is not only beatable but I think we do indeed deserve to be favored. Now if we can just avoid 2 JJ pick 6s.....

The Mavs went on an NBA record 30-0 run in that game......and still lost. Nuts!
