I see there already using the "Bama wasn't what they are now back then" to make a reason for them over Texas. Maybe that is or isn't true but what we do know is that they played each other and Texas beat them at their place. I mean where do you draw the line? What if Bama lost their first 3 games then "figured something out" and played dominating football the rest of the year, do you say "Well those first few games they were a different team, they are a lot better now"?

The Padres have more but some of those guys were already made men by the time they joined them, what makes the Expos unique is how many either got their starts there or broke out there.

I actually thought highly of TCU last year, atleast more than most did. I still thought Michigan was gonna win but I didn't think TCU was gonna be as easy as some thought. I felt that they were being disrespected due to not really having a ton of program pedigree or name value. Like if they had the exact same roster and resume but was say LSU instead I feel like people wouldn't have taken them so lightly. After all this past draft Alabama was the only school with more 2023 draft picks were Georgia, Bama and Michigan so there obviously was a ton of talent on that TCU team.

Yep but even then I think it would take a Bama blowout cause I can't picture the committee not taking UGA even if they lose. I think they would have to completely crap the bed for that to happen.

Washington and OSU are similar in regards to how they both have a ton of playmakers at receiver and like to spread it out. The main difference is that Penix is alot better than McCord along with the better coaching staff imo. OTOH I think OSU has a much better defense. Assuming Michigan doesn't suffer any major injuries from now until the game I think they'll be favored by a TD or so.

lol I know you're just kidding but I saw during the game on the crawl on the bottom of screen that they both agreed to play Mountain West teams for their "conference schedule" while playing a few games against other teams from other conferences.

They probably would've gotten the first down anyway but if I was Washington I think I would've declined that holding call on 1st down. Reason being is that yes it would've been 2nd and 4 vs. 1st and 20 but you would've saved 40 seconds by moving it to 2nd so IF you could've found a way to stop them you would've gotten the ball back with like 50 seconds which is enough time to quickly move down the field and get yourself into a reasonable attempt at a TD on the final play(s). By taking the penalty even if they stopped them 3 straight times the best case scenario was getting the ball back with like 10 seconds left, only way you're scoring then is with a fluke Stanford/Cal type play.

I gotta wonder if Bo Nix just wasn't paying attention to the player out of bounds or if he forgot/didn't realize that he was allowed to come back in and touch the ball.

Didnt really think of it till now but Considering one of the CFP games are playing Pasadena this year it would be pretty cool/fitting to see an old Big 10 vs. Pac 10 clash in the Rose Bowl with Michigan and Washington/Oregon, particularly with this essentially being the swan song of that conference.

Yeah probably depends alot on your age, as somebody born in 82 I think of him as a Cub since that's who he was with when I really started watching and following baseball. Plus watching the Cubs alot on WGN as a kid him and those Cubs teams were kinda my first real exposure to baseball aside from the Tigers so they made an impression on me.

12/2/23 7:00PM EST Cleveland Cavaliers @ Detroit Pistons
RandyMarsh replied to Tigeraholic1's topic in Detroit Pistons
I kinda jokingly floated the question a couple weeks ago about who will win more games this season the Lions or Pistons and it's starting to look more like it could be a serious question, particularly if you include the playoffs and the Lions get a win or 2 there. -
Washington currently up 10-0, I mean unless UGA loses ultimately it doesn't matter but if they win comfortably should they or will they pass Michigan regardless of what we do on Saturday since they are playing the number 4 team and we're playing Iowa?
