  1. If Bama beats Georgia than Bama and Georgia are both in. No way the committee takes OSU over either the 1 loss SEC Champ Bama or the two time defending National Champion 1 loss Georgia team. The only way OSU gets in is if FSU loses, Texas loses, UGA wins, UM wins AND possibly Washington win or a decisive Oregon victory. If it's a close Oregon win then it would be hard to take OSU over Washington who atleast made it to their conference championship game while playing in the tougher conference throughout the season and having just as many quality wins as them. Basically they can't afford the chance at 2 PAC or 2 SEC teams getting in which Washington and UGA losses would possibly open up the door for.
  2. I think OSU needs Texas to lose as well cause I think them being a 1 loss conference champion with a non conference win over Alabama would trump OSU.
  3. I guess he could've had JJ but he chose McCord over him which led to JJ coming here. There was an article on the Athletic about that earlier.
  4. Definitely would take quite a few things to happen. First and foremost they would need FSU to lose which definitely could happen given their QB situation. They then would need to hope Texas loses or atleast doesn't look impressive in the Big 12 Championship, if they completely dominate then they'd probably get picked ahead of Ohio State and even if they don't just them winning their championship and having a non conference win over Alabama may trump OSU in the committee's eyes. They also got to hope that Washington beats Oregon next week cause if Oregon wins a close one and Washington finishes with just their 1 loss being in their conference championship game to Oregon I can see both those Pac teams being ranked ahead of OSU. Bama is in a fight with Auburn so if they lose this one they are out but if they come back OSU would also need them to lose next week against UGA in the SEC Championship. Can't have a 1 loss Bama and 1 loss UGA team as then they'd both make it over them.
  5. I wonder if Patterson is hurt or something and that's why they went for 2? Could explain why he missed the first XP.
  6. Lions catch a break there as Sutton trips over himself causing Watson to fall down, could've easily been a TD if that didn't happen.
  7. It's just pitch and catch right now for Love and the receivers. Making it look easy.
  8. Major break there as the Packers screw up the handoff.
  9. "And now there's an injured Lion.." You just knew it was gonna be Hutch,McNeil or Branch.
  10. About to be a 3TD game by the 2nd quarter, Pathetic performance!
  11. Looking like we are going to drop to 0-3 with Fox's "A" announcers calling our games.
  12. The especially frustrating thing to watch is that every play is a successful play, by that I mean continuing to "be on schedule" in terms of where you want to be on down and distance. If they made two good plays on 1st and 2nd down but then proceeded to give up a 3rd and long you could atleast say "well they played 2 of the downs well just need to stop those 3rd and longs" but it's not like that.
  13. Yeah whether you blame Glenn, the players or both there is no denying that this defense has been really bad the last several weeks.
  14. It may have, I just felt like being snarky so I blamed him. lol
  15. Kicker failed to do his job, I blame the Special Teams coordinator!
  16. I don't like the strategy to defer when your defense isn't good. I think you run the risk of going down 2 scores early and being forced to play from behind the rest of the game.
  17. Glenn's fault Sutton got beat outside and the safety took a bad route. Yep never the players fault always the coordinators.
  18. Are there alot of cheeseheads there or far less than usual?
  19. AJ Dillon is active for the Packers but Jaire Alexander who was listed as questionable is out. That works for me.
  20. They are middle of the pack in passing defense, 5th in rushing defense and 22nd in scoring defense. I'm not saying coordinators don't matter at all, they certainly do particularly on offense but there is only so much you can do when you are lacking talent. Cam Sutton was the Steelers 2nd and sometimes nickel corner. He is our number 1. Jerry Jacobs is an UDFA who at best is a nickel corner but is our number 2. As mentioned Campbell is one of the lowest graded LBs and starting defenders in football. Our d line has 1 stud, a good DT and some guys that would be part time players on just about any other team. Collectively there is only 2 1st round picks on the entire defense and 1 of them is a rookie who as mentioned has been horrendous. If the coordinators meant as much as you make them out to be teams wouldn't sign any marquee players or use their first round picks. Just sign any veteran and draft a bunch of mid to late round guys and have the coordinator work his magic since that's all that matters. And for the record I do agree that I think they need to blitz more but I also concede that I am just a fan and not a 15 year NFL vet like Glenn was on top of all of his coaching history. Between him and Campbell there has to be a reason why they are reluctant to other than them just being terrible at what they do.
  21. Yeah I think the time at 1B and DH hurts him. If you look at his career totals in WAR, WAR7 and his JAWS score they all are well in line with other HOF catchers but unlike most of them who played virtually entirely there Mauer only played 900 of his 1500 career games there.
