  1. It may have been a Michigan game but it was either UM or the Lions earlier this year where they would've had the ball downed inside the 5 but the gunners fell for the fake by returner who acted like he was catching it at the 10, if they were tracking the ball they would've seen that it wasn't landing where the return man was acting like it was going to so I think that's why you track the ball.
  2. I'm surprised you don't see accidental hits like that Raymond collision more often, its gotta be hard to be a gunner and try to track a sky high punt and keep your eye on the receiver as well.
  3. I didn't listen to Goff's interview but on Karsh and Anderson this morning they brought up how when they interviewed Goff last Tuesday he mentioned one of the things that makes LaPorta so good is not only the contested catches he make but when he makes said catches he doesn't usually have to go to the ground to secure them cause he is so sure handed which in turn allows him to pick up YAC. Atleast on the eye test that was one thing that bugged me so much about Hockenson is that he seemingly had to go to the ground on every catch.
  4. He dresses relatively normal for Melifonwu but he puts on a show for Devito since he now knows the cameras will be on him. He was dressed looking like the Notre Dame mascot for his game yesterday.
  5. Kyle McCord transferring to Syracuse. I hate them but boy going from the qb1 of OSU to Syracuse is quite the fall from grace.
  6. I feel fairly well against any of the teams with the exception of Seattle just cause our recent history with them. In a vacuum though I think the Rams would be the scariest of the bunch since they have a legit competent qb, stud WR and potential game changer on defense. Our offense should be able to have their way with them but their offense could give us trouble so Id prefer not to face them either even though like I said Id still feel relatively confident just not as much as I would against the NFC South or North teams.
  7. The Bills have to be the most enigmatic team in the NFL, you see games like this and you think to yourself that they could be legit SB contenders, then they'll have a week where they lay an egg against a team with a backup QB or something. On top of that they have one of the best point differentials in the league yet are only 8-6 after today.
  8. Its pretty wild to think that we may end up with 2 1000 yard RBs AND going into today's games have the current NFL leader in passing yards as well.
  9. In my life this is def our best duo that I can think of. Honorable mention would prob go to one of the years we had Reggie Bush, Joique Bell and Theo Riddick they were pretty productive from what I can remember.
  10. I know I'm in the minority with this but like I said with the Lions last year I think winning games for a young team is important even if they seem meaningless on the sense of making the playoffs. Now if say the Bears didnt own the Panthers pick and had say 3 wins right now I prob would say it would be foolish to win a game late in the season to cost them the number 1 or 2 pick but in their current state Id be fine taking the wins over draft position.
  11. Godspeed to her if Johnson dials up a 2nd and 3rd long run play. 😀
  12. So you don't think it's fair to expect them to beat a likely sub .500 team at home in the first round? I think that is perfectly fine expectations. And the only people calling for all the coaches were the usual "sky is falling" crowd not guys like MC.
  13. I guess Payton said he was just frustrated with the refs call and was venting to Wilson about it, also said that they were considering challenging the two previous calls but didn't cause they didn't feel there was enough to over turn them.
  14. There's a number of guys you could give the game ball to tonight but I think I'd give it to Iffy, he was making plays all over the field all game.
  15. Keegan Murray who was only shooting 30% from 3 on the season hit 11 straight and 12 overall on his way to a career high 47 points tonight.
  16. MCS mentioned earlier about St. Brown not sticking the landing on that TD, well the funny thing is I just saw a YT short with him watching the highlights and he said when he jumped and decided to flip he was indeed trying to stick the landing but couldn't quite complete the rotation.
  17. Yeah that was what Trent Green in the booth speculated and really the only thing I can think of that makes sense.
  18. Not that it matters any to the Lions but my curiosity still wants to know why Payton was going ape**** on Wilson after that offsides penalty, wonder if it has come out in any of the press conferences.
  19. I missed the first couple drives so I was fortunate to miss most of the bad stuff apparently but from what I saw outside of the Chargers game that was probably the best the O line has looked all year to me. For the most part gave Goff a clean pocket and gave Gibbs and Montgomery holes to run through. When they play like that this offense is as good as any in the league and the team in general is tough to beat.
  20. The announcers are talking about the Lions watching the Seahawks game closely in the sense that they will be pulling for them to lose so they clinch the playoffs but I'd bet they are actually rooting for them to win so the Eagles drop to 10-4 as well.
  21. Holmes essentially flipping Hockensen for a younger, cheaper and better version of him is one of his finer moves to date.
  22. I thought so at first but they showed a replay on TV where you can see the defender look up to track the ball at the exact time Raymond waved for a fair catch so the defender missed it. Appears to be an honest mistake by his part.
  23. Payton essentially conceding the game by punting here.
