    It depends on what players the Lions sign that offseason. He would qualify for a comp pick if the conditions are met. They did trade their own 3rd and not the Vikings so it's almost a comp pick.

    There really isn't a CB1 available. The CB1 was going to be acquired via the draft.

    Remember that block by Craig Reynolds against Tampa last year? The player he lit up is none other than Carlton Davis.

    I'm kind of shocked only a 2nd and a 5th even though he's only on the franchise tag. Carolina really mishandled this one.

    Why do you keep comparing him to Sutton? Sutton isn't going anywhere. He's replacing Jerry Jacobs and Kindle Vildor. He is an upgrade over those two.

    That comp was more than what I was expecting. Have to say, I don't find this move very exciting.

    I think he's worth giving a look at but isn't the most inspiring signing.

    Romeo is a free agent and Julian signed with the Eagles so there are no ore Okwaras.

    I find it interesting the Lions are being linked to interior DL and not edge rushers.

    He's significantly better than Jerry Jacobs. Sneed, who a lot of people fawn over, has a 71 PFF grade so it's not like he's graded any better.

    Newsome has had a very similar first three years to Jaylon Johnson who broke out in year four and got paid. Former 1st round pick so he has a 5th year option. I'm intrigued based on the cost.

    It's interesting he has the same PFF grade as Denzel Ward who is Cleveland's number one CB. Both have the same number of targets even though Newsome played fewer games. I wouldn't be disappointed depending on the compensation.
