  1. If Sutton can't go, this could get ugly.
  2. Looks they waived Lucas for Cabinda. Can't say I like that move.
  3. I go with Weaver over Millen. Both were bad, but I still contend that Millen had the right vision. Millen came in and wanted to add more speed and switch to a West Coast offense which was a modern offense at the time. He didn't execute on the personnel and everything else that goes with running a team. Millen also wasn't qualified for the job but was given it anyways. Weaver was qualified based on his resume, but his vision of acquiring so many non shooters in the modern NBA is bizarre. His obsession with failed lottery picks and trading for a bunch of big men who can't shoot or do much of anything else is weird. Millen drafting Charles Rogers, Roy Williams and Mike Williams failed but I get the vision. He focused too much on skill positions but the NFL was transitioning to being a more passing league and Millen was on top of it but all the players he picked sucked. Weaver not only collects bad players but players suited for a bygone era.
  4. Probably means CJGJ will be activated.
  5. Ziggy Ansah vibes.
  6. I wouldn't mind going against Hall or Dobbs the final week as a practice against a mobile QB with hopefully Houston, CJGJ and McNeil healthy.
  7. A 3rd seed would be clinched if the Lions lose and the 49ers and Eagles win. If the Lions lose, it's probably a 99% probably they get the 3rd seed.
  8. It seems so fitting that Gores would talk up what the Pistons do in the community and then turn around and trade for Miles Bridges.
  9. I don't think I want to face the Rams in the playoffs since the whole lead up to the game will be all about Matthew Stafford and Kelly will be all over local news channels.
  10. What's wild is 3 of those 4 teams have played in multiple championships each in the same time period.
  11. Sean Payton sends like a bigger douche than I thought. I'm surprised how Dan Campbell came from that tree.
  12. I think the Going to Work Pistons are absolutely iconic. We hadn't seen a team like that before or since. A rag tag team from the island of misfit toys went and dominated the Shaq and Kobe Lakers, and Karl Malone and Gary Payton for good measure, and literally ended the Shaq and Kobe era and sent Phil Jackson into a brief retirement. They weren't just a flash in the pan as they damn near won it the next year. That team changed the league in the same way the Bad Boys did. The league didn't want to see a team held to 56 points in a playoff game so they changed the rules to eventually what we have now. People remember that team. 20 years later I see young people look back at those finals and that team. Their iconic value is in the fact they didn't have an iconic player.
  13. Micah Parsons and Jerry Jones are whining about not having holding penalties called. Expect a lot of flags.
  14. From what I gather there have been more things going on with him, but you can't just go and do your own thing and then almost screw it up.
  15. I think the word he was looking for was fitting.
  16. If the Tigers are considered storied, so are the Pistons. Pistons have 3 championships since the Tigers last won one and only have one fewer championship overall despite the Tigers have over 50 years on them since the Pistons moved to Detroit.
  17. Russell Wilson has been benched. Seems to be a Derek Carr situation. Broncos probably didn't want his contract to become guaranteed due to injury. Will likely cut him in the offseason. Still a massive cap hit.
