  1. All it did was raise the cap hit to release him before June 1st. His post June 1st cap hit is still the same. They still can release him with a post June 1st designation for the same cap hit as before.
  2. The NFLPA does warn their players about teams. If the Lions keep not spending, and then ask the players they do sign to pay cuts a year later while they are flush with cap space, the NFLPA will start warning players about the Lions like they used to do about the Bengals. It's weird, the Lions were criticized for recouping bonuses from Barry Sanders and Calvin Johnson that were unearned but feel it's ok to constantly ask their players to take pay cuts.
  3. He would still get cut. This in no way is job security for Cominsky because the cost to the Lions to cut him is still the same.
  4. And? This literally doesn't prevent the Lions from cutting Cominsky. The Lions cap hit for cutting Cominsky remains the same. If he underperforms he will be cut. The Lions gave him an ultimatum when they are nearly $30 million under the cap.
  5. The Lions have nearly $30 million in cap space even with the Carlton Davis $14 million cap hit but it was really important to get that extra $2 million in space from Cominsky.
  6. Armstead is the 2nd highest cap hit for the 49ers who are projected to be over the cap. They had to make a move. The Lions are well below the cap and asking players who they just signed to small contracts to take pay cuts. I'm surprised the NFLPA doesn't say something.
  7. Have the 49ers asked four players to do it in two years?
  8. Couldn't the 49ers just give him a post June 1st designation and release him now? The new league year starts at 4 PM today. I bet the 49ers release him at 4:01 PM with a June 1st designation.
  9. I don't think so unless the team gives permission like Denver did with Russell Wilson. It's possible the 49ers did that and are not making the release official until the league new year for cap reasons.
  10. I wouldn't mind seeing the Lions bring in Nick Folk. He's getting up in age but was 29-30 in FGs including 5-6 from 50+. See if he can't win the job from Badgely.
  11. I got two Walmarts on the same road two miles from each other. I'm buried in Walmarts and dollar stores.
  12. Yeah they are in about every Family Video building. They are like cockroaches.
  13. The Chargers and Dolphins are proof the salary cap is a real thing.
  14. A sitting member of congress from Michigan has unapologetically said it.
  15. I expect the Hamasholes to show up since they care so much about genocide.
  16. I was kind of thinking the opposite. A team like Washington with a ton of cap room may take on Bosa or Mack if the Chargers offer up a pick to unload him. Kind of like the Brock Osweiler to Cleveland trade a while ago.
  17. I looked up Sauce just for comparison and he is over 80% and ranked 2nd. I guess higher is better but the explanation seems poorly worded. I would think a lower percentage would be better.
  18. This doesn't actually seem to be good for Fuller. It says man coverage success rate is "percentage of targets allowed in which the defensive back's assigned receiver gained more than 5 yards of downfield separation." That reads to me that a lower number is better? Davis was also better in QB rating allowed and catch rate allowed.
  19. He had a 68.8 PFF grade in man coverage and a 75.1 QB rating against in man. No defensive back played man more than Cam Sutton. Tampa does not play a lot of man. He's a better scheme fit under Glenn than Bowles.
  20. I'm working on the assumption Mack gets cut. I don't think anyone is trading for Mack or Bosa. Once they are cut I would swoop in like a vulture. Williams is more likely to be cut than Allen so that would work. The Chargers really are in a bad spot.
  21. A trade for Bosa would result in the Lions taking a $22 million cap hit. I'm working on the assumption that the Chargers are going to cut one of them. The Chargers save more money by cutting Mack and he is older than Bosa so that would make more sense. I wouldn't trade for any of these players.
  22. Probably another guy the Lions will ask to take a pay cut next year.
  23. Mack could be available today. I would also sign Allen as a Reynolds replacement.
  24. Trump is already struggling to raise money. The big donors had already started to abandon him. The only donors he has left are the rubes who can only afford $5 donations.
