  1. I had actually forgotten Pete Hoekstra still exists. Wasn't he the jackwagon who ran a commercial with an Asian woman in broken English in a rice paddy? That was what, 2012?
  2. The Michigan Republican party is like the episode of The Office where there were two party planning committees.
  3. Now the state rep over there, Dylan something or other, is spouting off about voting non committed. God damn we're going to let Trump win over a foreign war the US didn't start, has no troops on the ground, committed no airstrikes, and led by a country the US does not control.
  4. Here's Laura Ingraham saying he has to put up the money and Trump says something incoherent.
  5. FWIW Alina Habba was crying on Fox News that Trump would have to bond the whole thing to appeal. I don't count her as a reliable source though.
  6. Yeah that was probably expected given the emergence of Melifonwu. The writing was on the wall when Walker was a healthy scratch for all of the playoff games.
  7. That shop closed recently and they painted it and spruced it up. Looks like it's for sale.
  8. I was thinking Mack would be more of a one year option than a multiple year option. I think his 17 sacks means he will get more top of the market. I wouldn't mind waiting out Chase Young. I could see a situation like with CJGJ where he prices himself out of the market and then settles for a one year deal.
  9. Actually, I found it.
  10. They do have a Leatherface vibe from Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
  11. I live in north Warren and there are multiple Muslim Arab families on my street. I don't know what their feelings are towards the war but I haven't seen any Palestinian flags.
  12. I believe so. I know a lot started moving into Sterling Heights during the Iraq war. A lot of them are from Iraq. They were getting jobs in the Chrysler plant.
  13. I also wonder if this is more of a Dearborn problem? Sterling Heights has a sizeable Arab population and Whitmer did well there.
  14. A lot of them who voted for Whitmer in 2018 and Biden in 2020 voted for Tudor in 2022. Dearborn was the one area where Whitmer struggled. She still won Deaborn overall but it was a big swing to the right.
  15. Whitmer won big even with declining support in Dearborn. Dearborn and Hamtramck were the only places where Tudor's transphobia message worked.
  16. One of the advantages the Lions have is I don't think they have to blow other teams away with their offers anymore. They can match other teams and have a good chance of that player picking the Lions over most other teams.
  17. I like the thought of signing stars who maybe have a year or two left like Gillmore. I would add Khalil Mack. Mack has a huge cap hit and the Chargers are over the cap. He's likely cut.
  18. If the contract is right sure. I suspect he wants to make more than Sweat. No thanks.
  19. Build through the draft and supplement through free agency. Within two years the Lions are looking at extensions for Goff, St Brown, Sewell, McNeil, Hutchinson, and potentially Williams if he develops. Then you have Laporta, Branch and possibly Gibbs and Campbell. Also Decker and//or his replacement.
  20. I think a good coordinator maximizes the talent he has and McVay didn't do that with Goff in the final two years and made things worse as he became more involved in the offense.
  21. Weird how they have McVay ahead of Johnson despite McVay breaking Goff and having to send Goff to Johnson to get fixed.
  22. What I meant is that New York state has more resources than Trump and won't be bullied like a small business. They can keep fighting him. At the very least, Trump is going to spend the rest of his life paying lawyers.
  23. New York state is not a small business owner.
