  1. How often has Goff played in those conditions? It seems this narrative developed from one game in 2018 that was clear, no wind and cold. I think it was more the Bears had an elite defense that year and not this bad weather narrative.
  2. The Lions and Eagles have the same point differential.
  3. I'm not concerned about Goff. He's like that episode of Seinfeld where Jerry says he always comes out even and Elaine throws his $20 bill out the window and he finds another $20 bill in his pocket. He always ends up on winning teams, with the best offenses, with the best coaches, and the best players. It's uncanny. How fortunate was he to end up on the Lions known historically for their winning and coaching? Then to be paired with Ben Johnson who was a TE coach nobody ever heard of and was hired by Patricia? Ben Johnson has never called a play in an NFL regular season without Goff as his QB. Goff is always at the right place at the right time.
  4. I'm concerned about what Mahomes looks like without Eric Bieniemy.
  5. If Jordan Love was bald, I think he would look like Charlie Batch.
  6. Especially since they lost to the Lions and only scored 20 on an Aaron Glenn defense.
  7. The long term answer for Decker is Sewell. They would need to find a RT.
  8. I'm concerned what Goff will look like without McVay and Todd Gurley.
  9. This game is just unwatchable.
  10. Wasn't Clete Blakeman the one who called those phantom hands to the face on Flowers against Green Bay?
  11. McCarthy signed off on Ezekiel Elliot playing center.
  12. If the Lions win their next two and Green Bay and Minnesota lose once, the Lions can clinch this game.
  13. Jamaal Williams is averaging a full yard less per carry with the Saints than with the Lions. Montgomery is averaging almost a full yard per carry more with the Lions than with the Bears. It's as if the Lions have a good offensive line.
  14. Who finishes with more wins, Pistons or Lions?
  15. With Matt Millen, I respected his vision. He wanted to make the Lions into a faster more athletic team and install a west coast offense that was modern at the time. I have no idea what Weaver is trying to do. It's like he's collecting big men like it's the early 90's. Even then I don't think any of these players would be particularly good in the 90's.
  16. I mean, I figured they would have wanted to do that the 1st game of the season after the Lions eliminated them from the playoffs and 1st place in the division was at stake.
  17. I also feel like they wasted a lot of time trying to make Campbell into a pass rusher, something he never did at the college level.
  18. Jack Campbell had one of the best RAS scores ever for a LB. You can argue positional value at 18 but he was an exceptional athlete. Rodrigue doesn't lack talent, he lacks size. That's why he was a 6th round pick. Barnes is another one that had good talent for a 4th round pick. Ironically, the one defensive player they drafted that has been a standout fell to the 2nd round due to a perceived lack of speed.
  19. I find it hard to believe that after finishing last season 8-2, being hyped all offseason, starting this year 8-2, leading the division the entire season, that teams are just now taking the Lions seriously. Campbell has been aggressive on special teams for 3 years now. Ben Johnson was one of the hottest coaching candidates. If the Lions snuck up on any team this season, that coaching staff needs to be replaced.
