  1. Good chance the Lions play the Vikings or Bears in one of these games. Would be nice to face the Bears. One less game in possible bad weather.
  2. Belichick is out.
  3. Are the fans chanting sell the team?
  4. Alabama has requested permission to interview Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn. Presumably.
  5. Pretty good practice report all things considered. James Houston was full practice. Could see him.
  6. It is the billionaire hedge fund manager who is doing an interview with the numbers guy. I've also seen Mike Martin's name thrown out there. He is in the Lions scouting department and the Lions have been killing it in the draft.
  7. I love this guy's videos.
  8. Didn't see this one coming.
  9. I know you will hear the refrain that there are only 32 jobs available, but if you go to a team with a bad owner with a quick trigger, it could be the last job you get.
  10. I agree this turned out great for the Lions and I think the Lions got the better of the trad. My point is I don't think Stafford winning a Super Bowl meant it was a win for the Rams because I believe with better management of Goff they could have built a team capable of winning the Super Bowl without paying a premium to make Goff go away. I also think Brad Holmes was the only one who could make this happen since he an inside view of the dynamic between Goff and McVay. I don't think he ever viewed Goff as a bridge. That alone would be an indictment on McVay.
  11. I agree McVay and Goff weren't going to have success and I attribute that to McVay. What I am saying is McVay mishandled Goff after the 2018 Super Bowl when Zac Taylor left. He basically forced the Rams into having to discard Goff and pay a premium to do so. It was the right decision by the Rams to move Goff but it shouldn't have come to that if McVay had done a better job in the years prior to the trade.
  12. The Bears seem like the perfect fit for Harbaugh, even more so than the Chargers. Harbaugh would have his choice of building around Fields with a lot of great assets, or getting the top QB in the draft without having to give up assets. This seems like a situation with the Chargers where they held on to Staley a year too long.
  13. The Ford's really made that decision nearly 50 years ago.
  14. It doesn't absolve McVay for his handling of Goff. Two years after committing a huge contract to Goff and confirming he is your franchise QB, McVay broke him and ran him out of town. Even if you didn't believe peak Goff was good enough to win a Super Bowl, McVay made it to where Goff had no value. I disagree that the only way for the Rams to have short term success was to mortgage their future and run Goff out of town. They could have had short term success and set themselves up better for the future.
  15. I don't know if this means they are keeping Fields or not. They may want a different coordinator for Williams or they may think they saw enough from Fields that they want a better OC.
  16. Bears fired Luke Getsy.
  17. I remember when I used to get shot down by bringing up Goff led a team to a Super Bowl. It was because of McVay and Todd Gurley! Weird how the Rams going to the Super Bowl in 2018 had nothing to do with Goff and was in spite of him but Stafford, who won nothing in Detroit, is suddenly the whole reason they won a Super Bowl and not OBJ or Von Miller.
  18. I feel like they should delay the parade until February and have a joint one with the Lions in Detroit.
