  1. I do think he got a little too big for his britches by having Matt Patricia as DeFacto offensive coordinator. I understand if he wanted to bring Patricia in a defensive capacity but everyone knew that was a disaster waiting to happen. Also for the most part the Patriots have been pretty good defensively under Belichick who is a defensive coach.
  2. Everybody says Belichick is nothing without Brady but Belichick is the one who took the chance on Brady and developed him. It's not like the Patriots lucked into the 1st overall pick and Brady was the generational talent coming out. Does Belichick get no credit for developing Brady?
  3. Matt Ryan was pretty good and a former league MVP. If that's the floor, Stroud should easily be #1.
  4. Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers are both ****ty people too. I wonder if Rodgers will sexually harass the Jets cheerleaders?
  5. The Jets have a brutal schedule and play in a tough division. It can get ugly but I wouldn't be surprised if they just do something like 8-9 like the Packers.
  6. This seems like it should be getting more attention.
  7. With that Minnesota deal, you aren't necessarily loading up in this draft and will have multiple picks next year and still have two firsts this year you can trade up to around 10 or so for someone like Witherspoon.
  8. Minnesota went from 12 to 32 without picking up a 1st. All Minnesota got was a 3rd and a pick swap in the 2nd.
  9. Minnesota's offer is tempting. Having multiple first round picks three years in a row is a good way to build the foundation. I would think Minnesota would be more interested in 18 and drafting Hooker.
  10. Biden has been the most progressive president since Lyndon Johnson and Biden was dealt a much worse hand than Johnson. Trump is only 3.5 years younger than Biden and morbidly obese.
  11. Drew Brees never had elite physical tools. Brees did have elite accuracy. Watching highlights of the Saints and I'm seeing a lot of the Saints in this Lions team. The Saints despite being a high scoring offense weren't the most vertical of offenses. They always had a good running game and good depth at receiver. They were efficient and kept the ball moving down the field and weren't so much a big chunk offense. Brees lead the league in pass attempts multiple times and the Saints ran the ball a lot. The Saints typically ran more plays than any other team. I see a lot of Brees in Goff and a lot of the Saints in this Lions offense.
  12. What you need to do is bus them to Pennsylvania to vote.
  13. I like the I think you can win with Goff as if there isn't a history of winning with Goff.
  14. Goff also threw for about 700 more yards than Hurts so it evens out and he didn't need offseason ankle surgery because he runs so much.
  15. Jalen Hurts puts up QBRs of 33.8, 48.5 and 66.4 after the addition of AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith and the best OL in the league and sure lets hand him a massive contract because he runs fast. Jared Goff has QBR of 50.8, 39.5 and 61.1 and he can't perform without a lot of talent but he has trade value.
  16. Jared Goff never had a QBR in the mid 20's except his rookie season when he played a partial season. His QBR from 2019 to 2021 was similar to Stafford's from 2012 to 2014 and yet not nearly as many people were calling for drafting a QB.
  17. I meant to post that in the Trump thread. Oh well.
  18. Not surprising but looks like Lying Ted is pretty wrapped up on this. Recordings have also leaked with Cruz scheming to overturn the election.
  19. Because of the rookie contract and because Goff is only successful because of McVay except when McVay is Ben Johnson. We know how successful Ohio State QBs are away from that system.
  20. Are the Titans aware Willis is on a rookie contract?
  21. Allegedly Levis said he was being drafted by the Panthers but that doesn't seemed to be confirmed it was him who said it.
  22. So conflicting info on Hurts void year. If Hurts doesn't work out and doesn't get an extension, that contract could be devastating for the Eagles.
  23. Details are out on Hurts contract. Cap number in 2023 is $6 million rising to $47 million by the last year of the contract with a $97 million void year. Looks like they can cut him before that void year and be on the hook for $8 million in dead cap. The cap hit next year is $13 million, then $21 then $31. The Lions can sign Goff to a similar contract and not be saddled with a huge cap number and needing to draft a QB because of the rookie contract.
