  1. I'm not hung up on the longevity of RBs. If you get 5 years out of Robinson, I would be happy. In 5 years there's a good probably Goff and most of the players on the roster will have been turned over. Gurley is an extreme example of a short career but I bet the Rams don't regret using the 10th pick on him.
  2. I like the idea though. Taking on Hopkins contract can mean you give up less to trade up.
  3. I'm bummed since the Lions could have really used a mobile backup for practice.
  4. I think at least 3 QBs will be taken in the top 5 so I think one of Anderson, Carter or Wilson will be available at 6.
  5. Probably one of the TEs. *DUCKS*
  6. I took tomorrow off because I figured I would be up late tonight.
  7. I don't even think Swift gets that much. Not much value in a RB in the last year of his contract who can't put together a full season.
  8. And yet here you are getting into the Hockenson debate but only to look condescendingly on it.
  9. Luckily for them they have TEs on the roster who can block. I can't wait to see Tater meltdown after they not only spend a high pick on a TE but spend a high pick on a blocking TE.
  10. So what happens if the TE they draft is good? The Lions also are like top 3 in cap space right now and they didn't acquire any additional assets. They traded him for pick swaps. Hockenson with Minnesota was on pace for over 100 catches. I just find it hard to believe they are going to in turn spend one of their high assets they received from the Hockenson trade to replace him when they didn't even fully utilize Hockenson.
  11. Guess I don't understand why they wouldn't just keep Hockenson then.
  12. I may be the only one who thinks James Mitchell should be given the opportunity to be TE1. It seems like there are a lot of people wanting the Lions to draft a TE.
  13. Keep in mind when looking at contracts what matters is guaranteed money. Daniel Jones has a high annual salary but the Giants can get out of that contract relatively easy.
  14. Hate to be the bearer of bad news but the 6th pick is usually around when the networks go to commercial break.
  15. Just put Tom Kennedy at QB. Problem solved.
  16. The Giants gave Daniel Jones $40 million. Teams would give Goff $40 million. Goff didn't miss a snap last year. He's been durable his entire career. They don't need to invest much in a backup. This we need a backup phenomena is fascinating.
  17. I like how the "really bad" seasons are seasons in which he still posted a QBR of 50 and the Rams still won, made the playoffs and won a playoff game.
  18. Rodgers contempt for the media is fascinating. I'm sure it will be better in New York than Green Bay Wisconsin.
  19. Contracts at first seem ridiculous until other QBs start signing them. Goff's contract was suppose to be so bad that the Rams had to pay to unload it. Now, it's considered good value.
  20. It's much easier to develop a good run game than to find a QB who can succeed without a good run game or offensive line. Makes me think their better off taking Bijan Robinson than playing the lottery with one of these QBs.
