If I would have said I love the Hooker pick, Buddha would then attack me as being a homer since I was against taking a QB before the draft. It is a no win situation.
Willis and Corral were drafted in the 3rd last year and both of those teams are drafted QBs high the very next year. Thankfully they both passed on Kerby Joseph.
Actually I didn't. I was asking why you didn't trust Holmes since that is all you talked about before the draft until he drafted a player you didn't like.
I'm sure they did and they drafted him knowing he's likely not going to be on the roster to start the season so he doesn't add depth, at least to start the season.
I wasn't the one saying trust Brad Holmes before the draft. I said I trusted him to not draft Hooker and here he goes and drafts Hooker. At least it was a 3rd round pick that he traded back twice. Must have really felt good about it.
He can barely run right now. Goff is probably more mobile right now. He's not even going to be available for training camp. His contract will likely be half over and he'll be 27 before he is starting.
It would be a wasted pick if he doesn't end up a starter, it creates a QB controversy, and still doesn't solve the backup QB position in the short term.
