I get the feeling he's trying to build him into a top 10 pick so you can look at a team like Detroit and be like "hey Lions, you better grab at 6 because he won't be around at 18." I'm not sure I agree with the strategy but Rosenhaus is one of the best and has a long history of representing players with baggage. He's the best agent Carter could have gotten. It's interesting for sure.

Drew Rosenhaus is one of the best in the business so my thought is he suspects Carter is not getting drafted in the top 10 and is trying to create an impression he is a top 10 pick.

I would think since the Lions are guaranteed one Thursday game a year, they are among the least likely to be flexed into another one.

You keep pushing to draft Carter and minimizing what we do know. We know he showed up to his pro day too fat to complete basic drills. That's certainly not one of the top athletes in the draft.

Charles Rogers wasn't done in by injuries. After getting injured he got suspended for drugs and then he showed up to camp so out of shape. He was so out of shape that no other team even wanted to give him a chance being only 3 years removed from being the 2nd overall pick. The warning signs were there but the Lions decided to draft him from the moment he left college instead of moving on to Andre Johnson.

Titus Young was frequently suspended at Boise State and Charles Rogers tested positive multiple times for weed, showed up to the combine testing for a masking agent, and wouldn't you know it he ends up getting suspended in the NFL for drugs. Hard to see that one coming.

And the Lions ignored the red flags with Charles Rogers at Michigan State and the combine.

Micah Parsons didn't show up to his pro day too fat to finish the drills.
