  1. Now that Stafford is gone he can't constantly mock a QB to Detroit since it isn't working with Stafford.
  2. I think it was more that the Lions ranked poorly in dinning facilities and not so great in strength room facilities. I think it's more about building a bigger and better facility.
  3. Looking at Jones career, he had one season where he had 10 TDs and three seasons where he had 9 TDs but only one of those seasons did he go over 1,000 yards. Guy is a red zone target.
  4. Marvin Jones was just as productive as Chark over the course of a full season.
  5. Fauci should have went door to door handing out horse paste.
  6. Don't think that area will change at all. 375 really isn't even in the picture. 75 is running to the side and below that land. 375 really starts at the right of Ford Field. I think what ultimately happens is that from Gratiot south will be boulevard.
  7. I believe Sheila had worked out of Ann Arbor.
  8. Dan Gilbert was supposed to be developing the old Brewster Douglas site. Not sure that land is available.
  9. The Silverdome would have been a good spot but I think they developed that into an Amazon facility.
  10. So it does appear players playing in Detroit pay city taxes. Not only that, Detroit also has a jock tax and collects taxes from opposing players. The thought of Aaron Rodgers coming to Detroit and throwing three picks and having a huge tax bill makes me happy. https://www.deadlinedetroit.com/articles/16977/detroit_finds_a_way_to_collect_more_income_tax_from_pro_athletes_playing_in_the_city
  11. Well Detroit already charges a 1.2% tax for non-residents. I would assume since the Lions play in Detroit they are charged a non-resident tax. If not, on a $200 million + payroll, that would be over $2 million annually on just players and not even a coaching staff.
  12. I mean, DeSantis could just counter with Fat D or Heavy D.
  13. Since the Lions are headquartered in Allen Park but play in Detroit, do the players pay city income tax? The case with the Pistons, the city of Detroit is getting a lot of money since you now have wealthy players on the tax rolls.
  14. From what I can tell, the Pistons got some public subsidies to move their practice facility to Detroit. I assume the Lions will get something. If I remember correctly, their current location was property owned by Ford Motor Company? Where does Ford have unused property?
  15. I don't think downtown is a good place for a 50 acre + practice facility. If they choose Detroit, I could see somewhere in New Center around Henry Ford hospital and they can partner with Wayne State on a sports medicine program. I believe the Steelers do this with the University of Pittsburgh. There's a lot of land around Henry Ford. I could see them moving to Dearborn around the Ford headquarters. Ultimately, I think the best and most likely area is Oakland County. Whats going on at the Palace site?
  16. Bans only work on things like books, abortion and drag queens, not guns.
  17. There had been questions whether the Lions were linked to him or not. He's still productive and I would be fine with him on a one year deal.
