I've kicked around the idea of adding Lamar Jackson and I keep cooling on the idea. Goff and two 1's is just more valuable than Lamar Jackson.

A 40 year old diva who likely will play one year and showed decline last year is just not that valuable. He's also owed nearly $60 million.

Matthew Stafford was up to 61% completion in his senior season and he struggled at times early in his career in accuracy and even in his Super Bowl season he still lead the league in interceptions. Richardson is at 53% completion. That's almost Tim Boyle bad.

Are we serious trying to put Elizabeth Warren and George Santos in the same category? We don't even know if George Santos is his real name.

Cam Newton was overrated. He had the one good season. He's like Richardson, big, fast athletic and poor accuracy.

Lamar Jackson doesn't use an agent. I think Baltimore wants other teams to do the negotiating and low balling before they jump in and match.

I highly doubt the Lions would go down this route but it seems more pluasible than drafting a backup QB 6th.

For the record, I wouldn't be opposed to signing Jackson. The Lions would still keep the 6th pick and could trade Goff to recoup some of the draft capital, but you better be sure Balitmore isn't going to match or else you've burned your relationship with Goff.

If the Lions go after Jackson, they better be sure Baltimore isn't going to match because it will be awkward when they go back to Goff.

Yeah I thought very few teams actually own their stadiums. Anything built recently with tax subsidies is going to be owned by some stadium authority.

Progressives hate Democrats. Hillary had to take it from both sides. Some of them voted for loonspud Jill Stein who had Russian connections. A lot of those same progressives are carrying water for Russia in regards to Ukraine.

Correct. Sign him to a contract that basically makes his next two years guaranteed and allow the Lions to get out of it after two or three years. It gives Goff some reassurances but doesn't neccesarily take drafting a QB in the next year or two off the table. if Goff continues to play well, you have him under control for four years.

Goff's contract currently is not guaranteed and the Lions can cut him at any time. I don't think players want to play on the franchise tag. A Carr like extension gives Goff guarantees in the short term and the ability for the Lions to move on on the backside of the contract. I think it's a win for both sides. It doesn't really take the Lions out of switching QBs and gives Goff some guarantees.

I wouldn't be opposed to signing Goff to a similar contact as Carr.

Edmunds could be a fit for the Lions.
