Campbell's comments seem to be exactly how I feel. They know Goff's limitations but know they can still win with him. They also aren't going to throw him under the buss like McVay did.

Goff is the same as Trubisky who sometimes plays well enough to win. Those sometimes being two Pro Bowl seasons and those wins being going to the Super Bowl. Unfortunately the old board isn't around anymore, but as soon as the rumor came out the Rams were interested in Stafford I was the first to suggest the Lions trade Stafford for Goff and a 1st round pick so it isn't like I suddenly changed my tune on him when he joined the Lions. He has proven in the past to be a good QB. When given better coaching and better receivers he was a good QB this past season. It's still too early to close the door and reach for a QB because you're desperate.

LOL at anyone thinking Trubisky is good.

Goff has actually proven to be a quality QB before. Trubisky has only shown he can put up good numbers against the Lions. When the Lions got some semblance of an outside threat and Dan Campbell and Ben Johnson took over the offense, Goff was good. Not just better but one of the top QBR in the league. The Lions were also 3-1 in his last 4 starts.

If they fell to pick 32 there is probably a reason for it. The Lions aren't desperate for a QB. Other teams who need a QB, Houston, Carolina, Atlanta, Seattle, Pittsburgh, etc have worse QB situations than the Lions.

When did this Rays win all trades start? I recall the Tigers traded Matt Joyce for Edwin Jackson who became an All-Star and then was flipped for Max Scherzer. I'm also not sure Tampa won the David Price trade either.
