  1. my recollection is that usually the forerunner to tommy john surgery is 'forearm tightness.' i personally can't think of just 'arm soreness' as that. did the genericized warning change without me noticing?
  2. I read that as Kreidler and I was befuddled until I realized my error
  3. sigh. i always liked the tiger coming through the D. i feel like i must be the only one. i didn't want it on home hats or jerseys, but for the road it was good (i join those saying the home uni should strictly be the traditional ones). i really miss the charm of the mismatched Ds on the hat and jersey. i will never forget the bull**** rationale we were offered that mlb wanted single logos and so the tigers changed.
  4. I think the players would be wise to go back to having somebody other than a former player for this role
  5. that's one way to put it [at least from the public perspective]
  6. Now Nick C. is available gratis. I mean, for the minimum, but you know.
  7. it's not just mlb. a couple years ago -- maybe a few years ago -- i was walking the streets of birmingham and i ended up next to kyrie irving at a crosswalk. i am 5'10" on my best day. i was eye to eye with that dude
  8. To remember, they'd have to have known in the first place . . .
  9. Framber looks short compared to all those guys
  10. This. Sometimes, the tension and anticipation is the action edit: are the action?
  11. first of its kind . . . new platform . . . same options that have been recently available color me confused
  12. I bet Anderson gets first crack at it. Melton may be the up and down guy
  13. arbitration might not even exist if there is a new cba. and that could have been part of boras' play. to make arbitration so expensive that the owners would rather find something different. not that boras would have anything less expensive in mind but perhaps something more predictable
  14. if this comes to pass, i nominate the one on that unmade bed
  15. thanks for this clarification. when i read that on mlbtr, it didn't seem right to me but i also thought that i was the one that was probably misunderstanding ps: i wonder if hinch will slot olson or flaherty between valdez and skubal to present different looks and keep bullpen assigments more spaced out
  16. bo bichette a met, offseason not done yet, i bet
  17. MLBTR reports that to be true, with the payroll tax based on 2025 at $169.4M
  18. i guess it makes sense that they were chugging blue lite, then, and only because natty light wasn't in stock 😉
  19. maybe arenado will recover some of his power in that park
  20. lol @ riley chugging the blue light. is that cap'n jack doing the same?
  21. Justyn-Henry Malloy to Tampa for cold, hard cash considerations
