  1. Passan writes that Turner has family connections in the area and that was a factor in him choosing Philly
  2. Imagine if the Tigers could have paired this guy with Steele, for an OF with Stone and Steele. There's gotta be another guy who would fit in.
  3. it struck me that it was bardar, and i thought He hit the A right out of it There's no A in hitting He awarded an A to somebody I can go on
  4. verlander is chasing 300 and needs to be on a good team. i wish he were coming back but i don't think its happening. ps: i understand the sarcasm; my response it what i really think tho. maybe the dodgers sign him
  5. you know, i saw him listed as of-1b-3b, but drilling down i see that he mostly played 3b. so maybe not. though he might still be a rebound candidate
  6. as far as a RH hitting OF goes, i wonder if they would kick the tires on Miguel Sano. When I hear 'calculated risk,' that seems to me to mean somebody who might be a bounceback candidate and i think he fits that description.
  7. i have quoted this and had guys look at me like they didn't know wtf i was talking about
  8. Cobb, Greenberg, Kaline, Trammell. In the gift shop you can buy an alternate version with Whitaker, Miguel, Gehringer, Newhouser.
  9. so a lot like this year. i dont remember what happened in ST tho
  10. That's funny, I've never even heard those ones (I think). The ads start and I start skipping
  11. The skip button is essential. I listen to other pods from The Athletic®️ and I've learned how many times I need to press skip to get past the gambling ads at the beginning of EVERY DAMN SINGLE FUCKING ONE. It's a lot easier to ignore baloney when its at the end of a podcast.
  12. Rays have drafted McClanahan, Rasmussen, and of course Mahtook
  13. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2022/10/dipoto-mariners-to-pursue-shortstops-willing-to-play-second-base.html Perhaps Harris should have a conversation with DiPoto about a SS who might be better suited for 2B. I don't know what Seattle might have that the Tigers would be interested in
  14. he dominates the strike zone . . . just not with his bat
  15. so, these guys are ready for the big club, is what you're saying
  16. It's an idea to be a better team next year, at least. Longoria produced more value in half a season than Candelario did in most of a season. I guess you have confidence in Jeimer rebounding, and I really don't, and that is the difference
