    There are a ton of great places to stay downtown. If you want a standard hotel close to the park, the Hilton Garden is probably your best bet. If you want something more unique (and are prepared to pay for it), try the Siren, Element, or Aloft, all cool places, all not more than a couple blocks from the park.

    i don't know that short to baez is so much of a downgrade, they are OPSing very similar and short is pretty good defensively, too. it only matters if the tigers would do something with the savings
