I must be one of the few who liked (likes) that logo. i don't want it as the main logo, but i like it as one of a few. i still wish that style of D was on the jerseys. they offered some complete bull**** about wanting logo uniformity as the reason for the change.

this is what i thought. i have to deal with this with clients all the time. but it cuts both ways. mize has to pay to prepare, too. i don't know how agency contracts work, so i wonder if whatever he pays his agents, standard, includes the agency handling an arb hearing. likewise, i don't know if the tigers would handle this in-house or if there is what amounts to 'outside counsel' that would come in, with additional cost

Add me to this list. I always liked baseball but when at about age 14 I really started to appreciate all the numbers, it took things to a whole new level. For the others like that, if you haven't already, I'd recommend Alan Schwarz's book The Numbers Game, which provides a sort of history of baseball statistics. It came out in like 2005 so it might be a little dated now, but it was a really good read.
