  1. The Redskins were also coming to meet with AG so it’s not like he made them turn around and go home.
  2. If you are looking at a head coaching job, the most important thing isn’t the franchise, owner, or GM. It’s the QB. If you don’t have one, you most likely wont be successful regardless of what you try and will be gone in under 3 years. Washington and Seattle are planning on new QBs next year and most likely both rookies. That’s a big risk. It’s possible to luck into a CJ Stroud but Ben also almost walked into a situation last year where his job would’ve depended on Bryce Young. That has to be in the back of his mind especially for an offensive coach. If he was offered the Chargers job, I’ve got to assume the choice would be different and the Lions are looking for a new OC. I give him a ton of credit for passing up the money and title and staying with his best opportunity to succeed.
  3. Two days later and it’s still hard to take that L. It was right there for them and they couldn’t close the deal. Still, this is the most successful Lions season in almost 70 years. There’s no reason to whine, blame, or complain. This experience will make them a better team going forward. IMHO, the only thing dumber than blaming Goff is putting Hendon Hooker on a pedestal and insinuating that he’s better. That’s ****ing stupid. Hooker is nothing more than a 3rd round flyer draft pick. There is no part of the Lions future that is impacted in any way by him. He is probably more likely to be cut in 2 years than he is to be a starter. Calling for him to take Goff’s job at this point without so much as taking a single snap is troll level lunacy.
  4. They come out unafraid and play their most complete game of the season. Lions 35 SF 25 All of Michigan goes into a state of absolute pandemonium for the next 2 weeks!
  5. Just for 💩 and grins, say yes when the rental car person asks if you will be taking the car into the city. The instructions they give really are something.
  6. Lance Leipold has a much stronger head coaching pedigree than Sherrone Moore. Under different circumstances, he’d probably make a great hire at Michigan. In this situation with the timing, the current roster, the portal and all that goes with it, Moore is the only choice for the job. Definitely agree on Warde. If you are going to let him make the call on the next coach, then take the no brainer route. Don’t let him lead a national search.
  7. They would be guaranteed stars if it were 1986 again.
  8. It’s his shoulder so he should have no problem running routes against nobody. The challenge is how does he take a hit, or get off a jam at the line, or block in the run game.
  9. Probably more money early on the Niners but more overall tickets on the Lions. This tweet sort of gets to what I was talking about with the legalized states .
  10. Drafting well, especially in the later rounds, is the great equalizer of cap space. Holmes looks to have us in very good shape in this regard.
  11. Love this hire for the Panthers - 💩 Job - 💩 Owner - 💩 Candidate Great match!
  12. I heard one of the Vegas guys talking and they were getting a ton of money coming in on the Lions from their Michigan operations and sports gambling still not being legal in California played a role in less Niner money coming in.
  13. Cousins is going to SF to be reunited with Shanahan. The Niners are going to realize on Sunday that Brock Purdy was a flash in the pan and isn’t their guy. I’d guess Washington’s first move at QB would be to offer the Bears something stupid to move up one spot and see if that can convince Ryan Poles to stick with Fields instead of Caleb Williams (who is from DC).
  14. He should be relived…of his duties.
  15. SF beats many teams just on the strength of their front 7. They stuff the run and destroy the pass game with their rush. They are going to win some battles but I’m confident the Lions OL won’t let them wreck the game plan and paralyze them in passing situations. SF has had to fight through some injuries in their secondary and there are matchups the Lions will be able to take advantage of in the pass game. I’d really love to see them dust off a few Jamo shots in this game even if it’s just to loosen them up. The same goes with Ben finding a way to get Gibbs matched up against one of their LB in the flat. I feel very confident in the Lions ability to start strong and to close. The game will come down how they perform to start the second half. They can’t have yet another turd quarter where the offense loses rhythm and they tread water for a quarter. That’s my biggest fear. I am also very concerned about CMC. GB did a great job against him last week but Shanahan keeps feeding his guy and he ended up breaking 2 strong TD runs. They need to stay focused as even if he’s contained, it just takes 1 play for him to pop and affect the game.
  16. It can’t be Dube because the team said he was leaving for mental health issues. It has to be a coincidence because nobody at the Flames would be so ****ing stupid to try to use the league’s mental health program as a shield from these criminal accusations, right? Total morons. Heads gonna roll in Alberta over that. They should fire the whole front office.
  17. It’s the NFC Championship game. I can’t imagine any way that Deebo isn’t playing. It’s just a matter of how effective he’s going to be.
  18. Sports journalists and especially baseball writers are a dying breed. I fear they will all be gone in a decade. It begs the question, when there are no more baseball writers left employed, who will vote for the hall?
  19. Moore is the easy part. The other part of the plan is to be prepared for the 30 day transfer window. I hope the thought isn’t these are Michigan men and they will never leave. I’m sure they are loyal and love the program but Bama and OSU will spare no expense. UM NIL better have a few million around to pay to keep Johnson, Graham, and a few others.
  20. One of the great things about getting older is my complete lack of FOMO. I’ve been lucky to see and do lots of things so there’s really nothing out there that I have an absolute must see desire to experience. This includes overpriced and overcrowded events even with my favorite bands, teams. or places. It’s just not worth it to me anymore both in terms of money and effort.
  21. It must really suck for some of these loser franchise and their long suffering fans.
  22. Truly insane that anyone would view him as a top DC candidate. He should never work again in this league.
  23. 2 payments of $59.99
