  1. The Magic FO deserves credit. They made a trade that was universally panned. 4 unprotected firsts for Desmond Bane. They got exactly what they wanted and needed from him. He wasn’t the 2nd option down the stretch. He was the guy. Making huge shots and also providing a little attitude that they needed in this series. Their roster only played 19 games together and we are seeing first had what they are capable of at full strength. One GM rolled the dice with a huge move and the other did nothing for fear of “upsetting the culture of the room”. The results are showing.
  2. The only guy that didn’t miss a wide open 3 was Javonte. He never saw the floor again.
  3. Right now the biggest problem with this team is everything.
  4. The fit is ideal. The cost is not.
  5. Raymond could potentially also do the trick too buy you may have to throw something else in too. The Sens have a nice defenseman group with Sanderson, Cabot, Spence, and Zub. Not sure they would be interested in adding salary of any of the Wings young blue liners. Good point about Larkin’s NTC. I doubt he waives it for Ottawa.
  6. I think the only deal that could get done would be a straight Captain flip of Larkin for Tkchuck.
  7. Absolutely the best possible news we could get.
  8. Wisconsin had their 47 year streak of having at least one player drafted end yesterday.
  9. So much talent that even a total loser can have success coordinating them.
  10. I heard that John Henry is also planning on buying Kevin McGonigle from the Tigers. Apparently he has that much money that he can convince the Tigers to sell him for cash.
  11. Top 4 picks all have made pro bowl. This is an A, if not an A+. Perfection is not the goal.
  12. He looks like a younger version of Amik Robertson. That’s really good for where he was taken.
  13. Of course MB finds a way to defend the pick. There hasn’t been a single move in 5 years that he hasn’t loved. Brad’s burner account doesn’t even have that good of a track record.
  14. Do the refs get paid by the whistle?
  15. So if a move made perfect sense at the time but turns out to be wrong, the move was still a good one? I don’t get that.
  16. Nah, you know I'm right so you just resort to trolling.
  17. This is exactly what Im saying. The move hasn’t turned out right but you are giving him a free pass because it was the right move at the time. Thats not how it should work. This is a results business. We need to spend more time judging the result than the planning that went into it. Sure, that’s probably not “fair” to Brad but this is a really hard job. He isn’t expected to get them all right but fans have gotten themselves into this mindset that it’s ok to miss as long as it the rationale at the time made sense.
  18. GM’s get paid a lot of money to get it right in the end. Getting the right result at the end is what matters regardless of how it looked at the time the move was made. We spend too much time judging guys on moves that seemed right at the time versus what the result turned out to be. This **** isn’t easy. They are going to make mistakes along the way. It’s not an insult to call them out when they do.
  19. It’s ok. Personal growth is much like many of Brad’s contract moves. Looks positive at first but then takes a few steps back with the hope that it can return forward sometime in the future. I am still cheering for you to get to that point where you can admit that opposing views can be correct too.
  20. I appreciate you admitting that. I know that was hard to admit that I was right but that’s great growth on your part. You have my respect for that.
  21. That’s like counting the times I almost got laid at college parties.
  22. I liked him. I’m surprised the Eagles didn’t trade up for him.
  23. As of this moment, it was not the correct move. That could change but that’s relying on hope versus the reality of what just happened. I’m not sure why it’s more likely that he returns to that player than it is that he’s older, more injured and less productive player.
