The Rangers are having an abysmal season and two of their leaders have made this team. I don’t understand Miller and Trocheck. Honestly I don’t mind Brock Nelson as much but I really hope that his family history didn’t play a role but I think it probably did. USA hockey always loves a good story. Robertson, Caufield, and DeBrincat are all needed pieces on this team. I am also confused on Noah Hanifin over Fox or Hutson.

How did everybody miss on Tristen Chambliss from Forest Hills Northern in Grand Rapids. I’m not just taking about UM & MSU when I say everybody, Central, Eastern, Western, Wayne, Grand Valley, all missed on him too. Crazy to go from Ferris to the CFP semis in a year.

This guys insistence on not playing Ausar is driving me mad.

I’d agree earlier in the year but this was his 13th start. You can’t keep falling back on that excuse. Look how far off these are and it’s the same throw 4 times in a row. It wouldn’t take Davis Warren or Jack Tuttle 5 or more tries to make that throw. It looks like a skill that he’s a long way from grasping.

It’s a reference to their defensive coordinator.

There’s no amount of Ozempic that can stop Carson Beck tonight.

With no Lions. Who you backing for the Super Bowl?
Hongbit replied to Motor City Sonics's topic in Detroit Lions
1) Bills or Seahawks **Note any Lions fan that answers Bears or Packers needs to keep that **** to themselves. You can think it but it should never be said publicly by a Lions fan** 2) Bears or Packers 3) Rams vs. Patriots 4) Rams 31 - 17 -
You mean the guy whose name is on the Medical Center at Ohio State and also one of the biggest donors to their football program.

It’s Larry Ellison’s 6th wife’s money. He’s 81 so maybe this is the last and final bag holder but odds say he wants something new before it stops working completely. Michigan needs to take advantage as much as they can before the well runs dry.

Season 1 of Pluribus was very good. It got a little more hype than it put out because it was Vince Gilligan. If it’s standing on it’s own merit, I wouldn’t call it outstanding, must watch, tell everyone you know good. But, I have to remind myself that because it’s Vince Gilligan, the first season will probably be the slowest and less involved as he lays groundwork for the rest of the series. I am excited to see where he takes it.

Jokic, Braun, Gordon, Cam Johnson all out. That’s brutal.

Great post! I agree with most everything. I’d love to keep AQM but his 11 sacks have earned a nice payraise form the $1.4m he got this year. Spotrac projects someone giving him 2 years/$16.6m. That seems about right for someone at his age. I’m very meh on Levi and Paschal. I wouldn’t mind singing for less and seeing if that initial investment will ever pay off but I’m equally fine if they decide to move and use roster spots on someone else.

This is the most wide open playoff year we’ve had in maybe 2 decades. There is no favorite in either conference.

This was so predictable

I read somewhere that applications from outside the South are way up at all the SEC schools. Kids from North and Midwest are flocking to these schools like never before. They attribute the success of football and the social atmosphere it creates do driving it. It would appear that football is the new marketing arm of admissions.

They have done a really good job on this season. The passage of time actually helped them to move the storyline and advance the characters.

He belongs playing every night rather than once every 2 weeks. Unless an injury happens there’s no place for him in Detroit.

Probably an unpopular opinion but I’m starting to really dislike the 100 year uniform. I thought they were great at first but now have started to wear on me. I liked the old timey brown gloves and goalie pads too but now think they look kind of ****ty. They had one of the best uniforms in all of sports and I can’t wait for them to go back to them.

Remember this past year was on outlier. The $21M budget for NIL spending went into place in July. Many big deals were signed and preloaded before this time. Lots of extra money got spent this summer. It’s how Texas Tech bought a team for $28M. Going forward all NIL above the $21M (includes all sports and not just football) will need to come from outside the program and be approved by a 3rd party clearinghouse. They will also have to show some legitmate work that is commensurate for the payment. Larry’s mysterious lady friend will have to find an actual job of some sort when she writes the check.
