We are inching closer to my thought that the NFL will swallow up college football and use it to create its own developmental league. These conferences are cooking their own golden goose and soon it will be in the NFL’s best interest to end this partnership and take total control.

The Eagles have a championship defense. They have weapons everywhere on offense. Their problem is Jalen Hurts has forgotten how to play Quarterback. This is the defending Super Bowl MVP and he’s been lost the last 5 weeks.

Private Equity is the devil. Money is their temptation. College sports will find this out. Will be interesting to see if they can force out the University from its own sports program if the financial returns aren’t what they want a few years from now.

A healthy Anthony Davis that can be counted on to be in the lineup is an elite piece that every team should want. Unfortunately, this only exists in lore.

Jalen Hurts is ass

All of the changes are to primarily solve the dirty air problem. If they can limit the turbulence coming off the car, they hope this will allow for closer racing and more passing. The tire narrowing is something they hope will help.

33 - I was thinking about that yesterday. For sure, Lando would take that #1 next year even if it’s just rub Max a bit.

The Big Ten doesn’t share any ticket revenue. Schools keep all their gameday money. The same is true with individual licensing for clothing and other logo merchandise. The $75M is from media rights, bowl payouts and NCAA tournament payouts. That’s mainly it. Even if they ND are keeping bowl and tournament money for themselves, they are still many millions short of a current B10 share

All of Notre Dame’s problems have the same cause. They insist on being independent in a system where you need alignment. Join the Big Ten and get everything gets better. It’s got to be an ego thing at this point because the money doesn’t even make sense. They get $50M from NBC yet the Big Ten is expected to give out $75M.

The game has changed and the head coach doesn’t drive recruiting anymore. It’s all NIL and General Manager and Front Office staff. These are the key drivers now in recruiting. Wink could be head coach and it they would still pull a huge class. Nick Saban would be the first call and he would say no. Minter or Georgia DC Glenn Schumann would be my top choices. Jedd Fisch would be next.

New cars for next season raises the potential for a complete shifting of the grid. I don’t think it’s likely but we could have a complete changing of the guard. Who knows Aston Martin and Williams could end up fighting for a championship.

It’s not as bad as sending a kid onto a scissor lift in a windstorm but skipping a major bowl game over this is a very bad decision from the Irish. That is quality practice and development time that is wasted. There are early entry Freshman they won’t get a chance to practice early with the team.

I’ve been using Claude. I like it better than both ChatGPT and Grok.

Kalshi has Marcus Freeman as favorite for the Giants job. That would be great if they lost their coach too.

Good post! This is pretty much exactly how I feel.

It was already going to be tough to find the money Gibbs in now going to cost much more than previously expected. Not sure he’s in the long term plans anymore and maybe the same with LaPorta.

Big props to the coaches. They weren’t stubborn and made noticeable changes on both sides of the ball. They were also flawless with both in game and clock management. -

We may have the best player in the league. That’s a really big game changer. I’m not sure if this team loses again! -

This is a big game. Dallas is not a big game team. They’ve lost many more of them than they’ve won since the 90’s. They are also a different team on the road. They’ve beaten nobody of substance on the road this year. The Lions haven’t lost back to back games in more than 3 years. Lions 24 Cowboys 16 -
Such a shame. I really liked him and thought he had a bright future. That car is career ender.
