I’d like to formally apologize to everyone in Cincinnati for calling Skyline the worst chili ever made.

Big job interview today for Jedd Fisch. If he can pull the upset with a favorable schedule that could see them sneak into the playoff, he could the top choice to become the next Michigan head coach.

Someone on 97.1 brought this up yesterday. Why not try a Bregman style deal with an overpay but shorter term with player opt outs. Maybe something like 6/$288 that’s has player options each of the last 3 years. He can get paid double of the next closest pitcher and then has control if he gets even better and the market increases after the new CBA. Boras probably wouldn’t go for it but it was an interesting idea.

Professional gamblers aren’t normally putting $5k on any +9000 bet. It’s a super flyer. Not a very common bet at all. They practiced the play during the week and had it in the playbook. DraftKings posted this before the game had started. No idea how much earlier the bet came in. Remember the Lions won the toss and took the ball. Had KC won they would’ve certainly deferred. That had to be a pre determined decision that was shared in team meetings. So, right out the box one of the biggest risks of a 1st TD bet was cleared by knowing they’d get the ball first.

Kiper put out his first big board of NFL draft prospects today. Out of 125 players ranked in the positional rankings there were only 3 Michigan players listed. Zavala was the #1 K, Barham #6 OLB, and Haynes as #2 RB. It’s a clear sign that the talent just isn’t there right now. It may be on the roster but it needs more time to develop.

I don’t know what the future is but I’d be very surprised if it happened here. This political agenda against immigration and universities will cause a massive brain drain and slow the pace that these companies can develop the latest and greatest technology achievements.

They should go 10/$475 and get it done. Boras would have him sign that this winter. The term is irrelevant to me. I want 6 more seasons of quality Skubal and will happily live through 4 potentially difficult seasons afterwards paying $47M for a guy that is not effective. Let’s attack the next 5 seasons and not worry about the distant future.

I think there may be a bigger problem on hand regarding this play. It’s very possible that someone on the team is feeding information to someone outside to for betting purposes. It seems like too much of a coincidence. Also, the Lions won the toss and took the ball making it it’s highly likely they had planned all week on having first possession.

I know a guy that was an early staff level engineer at Broadcom. He hasn’t worked in 25 years and just keeps getting richer.

It looks like the Lions made a simple mistake in play design. The play would've been legal if coming out of huddle Goff stayed back in shotgun and maybe faked looking at the sideline to get a signal or and then run out wide. The rule changed once he walked to center and touched Glasgow. Thats a minor detail they needed to do a better job on in practice.

I tend to agree. I also wonder what would happen if they offered 10/$500. They would never overpay this much. That would be a ridiculous number and almost double the next closest full time pitcher’s AAV but even Boras would have to say yes to that. I shouldn’t say never about an overpay. I believe (or maybe hope) that after his mom passes, the family will look to sell the teams. What Skubal’s deal looks like in 2034 and 2035 can be someone else’s problem to deal with.

I don’t know. It will come down to how strong the deals they get offered this Winter. This front office has shown they are very committed to building an organization that can consistently win year in and year out. Passing up a move that could have a major impact for many years in order to make a run for one season doesnt seem like Harris MO.

This along with 10 other holds, false starts, or offsides should’ve been called. Refs throw the flag on this play and there is no post game fight. Craig Wrolsted should be suspended by the league as well.

How many coaches and coordinators need to lose their job before it’s understood that you can not win with Justin Fieids as a pocket quarterback. The only way it can maybe work is if he’s running or passing from a rolling pocket at least 50% of the time. Even that may not be enough.

USC starting LT and C are both out.

I’ve got an uneasy feeling this may be the Bryce Underwood coming out game. I am more interested to see how USC responds on both sides of the ball after a bye week. Lincoln Riley is the 3rd highest paid coach in the country and has done nothing in 4 years. I’m not sure who would rank higher as most overrated coach in the country now that James Franklin has been completely exposed.
