I’m not exactly sure how the league treats this rule. There are 29 states that allow permitless carry in which Jamo wouldn’t have committed any crime. Obviously, Michigan is not one of them and he broke the law but I’d have a hard time believing the league would come down super hard on him for essentially failing to stow his registered weapon correctly. FWIW, Josh Gordon’s issues started in 2013. Marijuana was still illegal and a felony in almost every state. A decade later and everything has changed when it comes to marijuana. It’s not a death penalty from the NFL. It’s nothing. They don’t even test for it anymore.

It looks like the league wants the NFC North to be a battle all the way to the end of the season. They are bringing out the big guns stop the Lions from taking a commanding lead.

I expect everyone else in our division to make a trade to add a player before the deadline. If the Lions don’t make a move for Crosby, Garrett, or Hendrickson, I would not be surprised to see at least one end up in either Chicago, Minnesota, or GB. I’ll be completely shocked if Ryan Poles doesn’t give up the farm to make a big deadline deal.

It’s crazy to say at 6-1 with a +100 point differential but outside the Dallas game, this team still hasn’t played a complete 4 quarters of quality football. They have had a blah quarter in just about every game.

Raiders are always going to Raider but I don’t see how it makes sense to hold onto Maxx Crosby. They lack so much to be successful. There’s no QB of the future. There is no true #1 RB. They traded away their top receiver and a rookie TE is the only offensive weapon. They added a 3rd rounder in the Adams trade but that’s their only extra pick. They have no stockpile of draft capital that will be needed to rebuild semi-quick. Making matter worse, they are playing in a division that is ramping up in toughness very quickly as Sean Payton & Jim Harbaugh have the Broncos and Chargers playing well. This a big uphill climb for the Raiders and one of the more challenging rebuilds in all the NFL. Crosby may finish this season but he’s not going to stay happy wasting the prime of his career in a multi-year rebuild. He’s going to ask out and demand a trade by early next season and probably sooner. Sure, Mark Davis wants to keep him but that’s the wrong move for everyone involved.

Trump is having a rally in Novi tomorrow. This part of Oakland County isn’t his people but close enough to Livingston to possibly draw a decent crowd. Can’t wait to hear what kind of insults he has for Detroit tomorrow.

Facemask from the side will cause the head to turn abruptly in a way that couldn’t be happen from grabbing the pads or collar. This is actually one of the penalties that they don’t need to see the full infraction. That abrupt head turn that moves much faster than the rest of the body is only caused from a facemask. The Rodgers phantom facemask was just a terrible call. There was no head jerk that differentiated from the body and it was more from the front. He fell and embellished and they bought it.

I hate the new crack down on illegal formation. They never used to call receivers for being 6 inches too far off the line as it really has no impact on the play. It now seems to get called 2-3 times a game and I don’t really see the giant benefit to enforcing it so closely. It’s ticky tack which becomes even more frustrating when they are missing other big obvious calls that have a huge impact on the game. I also am beginning to get frustrated with constant false starts. Some are obvious and must be called but again every game I see a defensive player point at a tiny flinch from a OL and it’s an immediate flag. The zebras need to let a few of these go and not get baited whenever a DL stops and points. The automatic replay also needs to be changed to come in and make a call like last night when it’s obvious that a blatant personal foul has been missed. Need to eliminate the rule where if a flag wasn’t thrown on the field, a terrible mistake can’t be fixed. At the very least, they should amend and have the ability to intercede within the last 2:00 of a game.

They will treat any differentiation of this as a positive test. This would be so Jamo to again get suspended for being on the wrong side of a minor loophole.

I don't think we are anywhere close to a Nazi Germany situation where people have to fear for their actual lives. That being said, who the hell knows anymore, maybe you are right.

Mize needs to simplify what he’s doing. He should stick to a 3 pitch arsenal and really master them. Obviously, Fastball and Sinker stay. He should decide if it’s Slider, Curve, or Change that becomes the 3rd pitch. He’s just got to be much better controlling the zone. He’s either right in the sweet spot or so far off that hitters don’t chase. He’s got a few really strong pitches and few very weak ones that he should not even throw anymore.
