I’m not exactly sure how the league treats this rule. There are 29 states that allow permitless carry in which Jamo wouldn’t have committed any crime. Obviously, Michigan is not one of them and he broke the law but I’d have a hard time believing the league would come down super hard on him for essentially failing to stow his registered weapon correctly. FWIW, Josh Gordon’s issues started in 2013. Marijuana was still illegal and a felony in almost every state. A decade later and everything has changed when it comes to marijuana. It’s not a death penalty from the NFL. It’s nothing. They don’t even test for it anymore.

I expect everyone else in our division to make a trade to add a player before the deadline. If the Lions don’t make a move for Crosby, Garrett, or Hendrickson, I would not be surprised to see at least one end up in either Chicago, Minnesota, or GB. I’ll be completely shocked if Ryan Poles doesn’t give up the farm to make a big deadline deal.

It’s crazy to say at 6-1 with a +100 point differential but outside the Dallas game, this team still hasn’t played a complete 4 quarters of quality football. They have had a blah quarter in just about every game.

Raiders are always going to Raider but I don’t see how it makes sense to hold onto Maxx Crosby. They lack so much to be successful. There’s no QB of the future. There is no true #1 RB. They traded away their top receiver and a rookie TE is the only offensive weapon. They added a 3rd rounder in the Adams trade but that’s their only extra pick. They have no stockpile of draft capital that will be needed to rebuild semi-quick. Making matter worse, they are playing in a division that is ramping up in toughness very quickly as Sean Payton & Jim Harbaugh have the Broncos and Chargers playing well. This a big uphill climb for the Raiders and one of the more challenging rebuilds in all the NFL. Crosby may finish this season but he’s not going to stay happy wasting the prime of his career in a multi-year rebuild. He’s going to ask out and demand a trade by early next season and probably sooner. Sure, Mark Davis wants to keep him but that’s the wrong move for everyone involved.
