I’m interested to see how quick some of the totals come in compared to 2020. Many states have spent time and money to improve their process

I’m glad the Trump campaign chose to not make every commercial and talking point be about the economy and democracy since they are the key issues. Instead, they made Immigration (11%) and Transgender issues (not even listed) huge talking points for their campaign. I must have seen their stupid anti-trans ad 100 times and it’s just not an issue with voters. Thank you morons.

After you invest in these companies do you get a special code that can be used to save yourself when the robot revolution starts? Your support should at least let you be spared in the first wave of human exterminations.

What kind of cretins are you hanging out with that purposely don’t carry ID. That first sign of a bad seed, the second being they own burglary tools and you can find a ski mask in their car in June.

Good point but all the organizations have the young underlings that do much of the research and heavy lifting. If the GM goes, there will be people in the building that can jump in and make team based decisions with the hope they can stay on with the next administration.
-
Don’t blame Joe Schoen. He’s probably getting fired at season’s end. His only chance to stay is getting hot and winning some games at the end to look competitive enough that they are building something. Great example of why owners should be quick on the trigger to fire lame duck GM’s. Team could use late draft picks next year more than Olujari the rest of this season.

Another thing from my voting experience this morning. Not only did I had to show my ID, they looked very carefully at it and matched address, picture, and even signature. So much for the false maga narrative about anyone being able to vote without ID. That is patently false here in the great state of Michigan.

Even had Bowles gone for two and got it, how shocked would anyone have been if Mahomes got KC in FG range with 27 seconds and 2 TO. Not very. I think most of us would be surprised if 15 didn’t get them there in that situation. The right play was probably to go OT and bet on the coin toss.

It took a little more time voting this morning due to not checking a straight Democratic ticket. Even though the position doesn’t matter, there was absolutely no way that I was casting a vote for Denise Ilitch as UM Trustee. When the family chooses to step up and invest back in the teams they are essentially holding hostage, I will choose to support them again.

A player pushed or forced out of bounds by another player can re-establish. A player that runs out on their own can not.
-
I have none. This is not going to be close. The polls are way off and Trump is going to get streamrolled.
-
He probably shouldn’t have walked all the way to the bench but removing himself from the play was smart. If he doesn’t the ball is probably coming his way and a penalty ensues.z
-
I know this looks bad but this actually a really smart veteran play. He ran out of bounds on his own and can’t touch the ball again without a penalty. He’s the closest WR to Caleb so the ball may have been coming his way so DJ smartly takes himself out of the play and gives Caleb a chance to convert somewhere else.

Week Nine: Detroit Lions (6-1) @ Green Bay Packers (6-2)
Hongbit replied to MichiganCardinal's topic in Detroit Lions
It’s an ejection all day and every day in college. NFL has different rules and this just a 15 yard penalty. Completely without warrant. Jordan Poyer on Miami and Coby Bryant of Seattle both had near identical plays yesterday and neither had a New York ejection. -
Dennis Allen has been fired as Derek Carr’s head coach in New Orleans. I’d post the link but Elon has gone and f’d up his Twitter again.

Raiders fire OC Luke Getsy after only 9 games. He was canned as the Bears OC in January. Impressive suckage to get fired from 2 NFL Coordinator jobs in 10 months.

Week Ten: Detroit Lions (7-1) @ Houston Texans (6-3)

The overall record doesn’t really matter as long as they get the #1 seed and the bye and home field throughout the playoffs that comes with it. -
Crazy things happen in the rain. Max finds himself in the right place at the right time and looks to have solidified the title.

Michigan Football 2024 aka The Year Michigan has to Defend a Natty
Hongbit replied to romad1's topic in College Sports
I’ve got Michigan winning today because every so often college football makes no sense. -
I’ve done more research than you can imagine on this subject and their many surveys and methods they use to collect and report data. This is not the first time I’ve posted about my issues with BLS data. The first and easiest change they should make is to not release jobs data on the first Friday of every month. It’s not enough time to gather accurate numbers. They should push back to 7 or 10 days to get a better initial results pool.

I always took Get a grip to be more abrasive than an ordinary awareness idiom but so be it. I think your take is ridiculously wrong and you think that I can’t be helped so maybe that’s where we have to agree to disagree.
-
So because it’s a hard thing to do, it’s ok to purposely put out essential data that is often off by 25 - 50%. That’s ridiculous. This has zero to do with Trump for me. It’s typical Washington bs that’s been going on for decades. Trump will be gone on Wednesday but these BLS issues will continue as long as people don’t challenge how they collect data. BTW, why are you all worked up? Definitely surprised by the tone of your reply. That got abrasive for no real reason. Ending with get a grip. Really?
-
It really isn’t too much to ask for a better system for a piece of data so important that it caused major market moves every time it’s released. This isn’t pump 5 at a Mobil station. Look at this chart. The consistency of massive misses on the initial release is staggering. How can you honestly refer to this an amazing feat of accuracy?
-
There are revisions every month because we use an antiquated system to gather the data. The BLS needs to determine a more modern and accurate system to collect the data. It’s one thing if the numbers are off by a small amount. August was reported as a robust 159,000 jobs gained and today was revised down to only 78,000. That’s a 50% miss. That’s too big an error on a piece of data that has so much of an impact on the markets.
