  1. Probably not a good idea to go down that political path with most of your favorite multi-millionaire young athletes. You won’t like what you find out. Not sure if there will be a single Harris voter on the 25 man Tiger roster.
  2. It’s the “Wherever I’m gonna be part” that has people talking. He wants to be competing for the playoffs. The Raiders are 2-4 and at Rams this weekend. They have KC and @Cincy left before the deadline. If they are 2-7 or 3-6 they will be out of it.
  3. No. Burfict had issues dating back to college at Arizona St and then multiple ones in the NFL. Garrett had one very bad moment five years ago. He’s been voted to the pro bowl by his peers 5 times since and was also voted the 5th best player in the league last in a player vote. The rest of the league doesn’t see him as a dirty player and either should you.
  4. They’ve played 4 games. 2 of which were against last year’s conference finalist.
  5. **** Yeah
  6. Will be interesting to see what happens the next few weeks. He could easily be traded. Miami should be interested.
  7. The cap will continue to rise every year. Those numbers will still be high but won’t be so extreme by 2026 and beyond.
  8. With the core group of this roster under longterm deals, maybe it does make sense to start trading off future high draft picks for pieces that can get them to the top. The Rams had huge success with this plan while Brad was with them and they were contending for titles. The Lions are in a much better position than they were at the same stage regarding key players locked up for many years. Trade the 1sts and 2nds and start using later round picks to add depth and of course hit big on some future studs like they’ve always been able to do. Let free agency be an area where they let players go and turn them into future 3rd and 4th round compensatory picks instead of trying to sign big name FA that they won’t be able to afford. I guess what I’m saying is maybe it does make more sense to give up two future ones for Maxx Crosby and resign him as part of the core.
  9. Someone else can sit in and brief him on what was covered so he can still use the information on the broadcast.
  10. Most of these dugout seats come with access to a premium club area with a full bar and amazing food spread. I’d assume the people sitting in these home plate seats were at the game but chose to hang out inside and stuff their faces, get drunk, and try to pick up younger women like any obnoxious, Wall St. Yankee fan would. I read something today that the brand new LA Clippers basketball arena has no TV’s in the concourse and all the TV’s inside the private suites are disabled during the game to ensure people are in their seats watching the action.
  11. One thing for all of us to remember regarding Crosby is this is the Raiders. Trying to think about what makes the most sense logically is usually the opposite of what they do. Maybe Crosby is a real possibility. Then again, maybe they don’t want to acquire extra draft picks to get their next QB.
  12. Adams was a hired gun that didn’t work out. Maxx is the homegrown face of their franchise. I can’t see them parting ways unless he makes it very clear that he wants out.
  13. Rob’s posts are like Javy facing a slider on an 0-2 count.
  14. The first thing the Lions will be looking for is someone that fits the culture.
  15. So much for once bitten twice shy. Davante went to the Raiders solely to be with Derek Carr and it lasted one season before Carr got traded and Adams had to flounder with a replacement QB. It’s likely the same thing is going to happen in NYJ. He’s not a great longterm planner.
  16. Rodgers and Adams never got to a Super Bowl together when they were young and near the top of their game. Not sure how the older and less productive versions of both are expected to do it. Desperate move but by a desperate franchise.
  17. No. This is not what they mean about culture or bad guy. This was an on-field incident 5 years ago that was caused by over-aggression. He was chosen as Walter Payton Man of the Year candidate by his teammates the next season. He is a hard worker that is loved by his teammates and puts winning first. He’s a leader on his defense and someone that would be a huge fit. Unfortunately he’s got $50m in dead cap or trade by the Browns and I don’t see them taking that on now. A bad guy is someone that focuses on individual accomplishments and money more than team success. Someone that doesn’t put in the time effort or focus to constantly work or get better. Someone that lacks the maturity to stay out of trouble off the field.
  18. Was reading another thread and it got me thinking. Would you trade all of these players to the Dodgers for Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, and Yoshi Yamamoto?
  19. When’s the Game 6 thread going up? Came up a few plays short but what a great run by the boys. This September and October won’t be forgotten for a long time. Hopefully it becomes the catalyst for a new run of Tiger playoff teams.
  20. @ben9753 has got to be happy about this time change.
  21. AJ’s streak of always pressing the right button comes to an end with the call to send Jobe back out for the 9th.
  22. This is going to be the grittiest ****ing win of the season!
