  1. More from the rumor mill
  2. He had to learn that at UCLA.
  3. Tough start but Scotland is still the only team that isn’t crap.
  4. I want to hate everything about it but it’s actually pretty average. Not horrible and not great, which is probably what you’d want for a temporary placeholder.
  5. I would pay good money to hear Joe Mazzulla’s thoughts on Scooby-Doo.
  6. They are missing out on a huge opportunity by not doing a SCOTUS summer break reality show. I want the details on the Crow/Thomas getaway at an exotic resort, the fun interactions between the Alito’s and their beach house neighbors, and everyone can’t wait to see Kavanaugh and Squee crush brewskis at their high school reunion. This seems right up Mark Burnett’s alley.
  7. Tee times flipped tomorrow as the late guys today are the early groups tomorrow.
  8. I absolutely agree with you. I am not a fan of his at all. I’m trying to make sense of what could’ve happened understanding that it’s all speculative.
  9. He was in his normal headspace in his time with Boston. His time with the Tigers was marred by the still unknown traumatic family event that caused him to drop out of baseball. I don’t think it’s a stretch to assume whatever happened still had a huge impact on his decision to reject the trade.
  10. I think his head not being in a good place at the time and him not wanting to jump into the pressure cooker of the Dodgers in a pennant race also seems very believable. It’s all speculation and we will never know. What doesn’t make sense was the earlier assertion that ERod would’ve gone to the Dodgers if he was paid more money and that somehow fell on Scott Harris to make happen. Not sure how that would be the Tigers responsibility as the team trading an expiring contract.
  11. I don’t accept any of it. This product sucks. Everyone from ownership all the way down has to accept some of the responsibility. I just think specifically blaming Harris for the failed ERod trade is a dumb hill to die on.
  12. Javy’s plate discipline is sounder than this post.
  13. Part II of This shouldn’t be surprising since anything and everything has a price in college athletics.
  14. This shouldn’t be surprising since anything and everything has a price in college athletics.
  15. That’s not fair since he had a deal to a contender that ERod vetoed. ERod the person, was at best going through some things that impacted his normal judgement and at worse a compete whack job that had no care about anything team related.
  16. Can’t say I’m all that surprised even though SCOTUS is now a political arm. The wacko Christian Right helps with Conservative votes but Big Pharma still pays the bills.
  17. 4 bogeys in the last 5 holes and his round has gone downhill like a guy skidding his car off the road in a drug induced haze.
  18. Tiger Woods is in the lead at The US Open!!! Only 71 more holes to go until major #16.
  19. Luca with a massive brain fart. Can’t be that aggressive on defense and put himself in that position with 5 fouls and 4 minutes to go. Even his 5th foul was unnecessary. He’ll live and learn from that. Normally his basketball IQ is off the charts. Side note: It’s absolutely amazing that at 34 years old Jrue Holliday is still that freaking good of an on ball defender.
  20. Figured it’s about time we had a thread dedicated to Golf. Whether that’s the pro tours or everyone’s rec game. Lots going on in this world for sure. The US Open starts tomorrow at Pinehurst. It looks like the USGA is back to its typical brutal Open setup after they tamed LACC last year. Hot weather and lightning fast greens will make for difficult conditions. Not sure how anyone matches Scottie but don’t count out Bryson. He’s playing well and this course suits his game.
  21. They have 2 very promising young goalie prospects. Cossa is 2 and maybe even 3 years ahead of Augustine and will get the first shot. I think he’ll be given the chance to play some this year and maybe even take the reins as the top guy if he’s able to take advantage. If not then it’ll be next year for sure. Either way, it’s important to give Cossa a really good look over the next two seasons. If he steps up a becomes the guy for the future, they can figure out what do with a super talented young Augustine. If not, they can repeat all over again with Trey and hope for a better result . It’s definitely a good problem to have.
