Framing is absolutely more gamesmanship than it is cheating. There is a point where some forms of gamesmanship can cross a line to where it starts to impact the quality of the game. I can think to the “Hack A Shaq” 4th quarter immediate fouling of a poor FT shooter or the Eagles Tush Push play. All technically legal but taking advantage of an unintended loophole that hurts the overall quality of competition. I don’t see how poor umpiring is good for the game. Outlawing framing would be a very easy way to help the umps miss fewer calls.

This new gyro cam technology is absolutely amazing.

James Houston is an athletic pass rusher with one great move. The speed rush duck under had great success for a short time. Now it’s on tape and teams can easily prepare for it. He needs to add more tricks to his bag if he’s going to stay in the league. Last year’s injury was a big setback and it doesn’t sound like he’s made a lot of strides expanding his rush game.

Makes sense to have a UM football discussion in a political thread. The biggest booster of the UM program is Stephen Ross. He’s also one of Trump’s very good friends and largest contributors. In a sense, Trump and Michigan football are joined at the hip. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him at a few games this year wearing maize and blue and singing Mr.Brightside with the students. Maybe he’ll show up at @pfifetailgate and eat all the food and leave without tipping.

There’s still lots of time for bigger bags to be handed out before Signing Day. The players are only guaranteed for a single season too. I wonder if NIL will take interest away from the recruiting sites. It’s grown into its own massive business but high school recruiting has never been less important.

I read somewhere that traditionally the Fed has started with a half point cut in similar situations after a long stretch of inactivity. On top of September, there’s also been talk of an additional cut in December as well.
