Maybe Stevie has a big trade that nobody saw coming in his back pocket.

The frenzy…

Nashville also re-signed Saros for 8/$7.5 a few days ago. Crazy.

I am hoping that justice will prevail but our new reality has me expecting 6-3 for immunity.

I sort of understand this rational to not talk about when it comes to media influencers with hundreds of thousands of followers that could actually impact public opinion. This is a Detroit sports message board with 265 members, most of which don’t even bother with the politics forum. We can talk about hypotheticals without effecting the election. Btw, I’m sorry about your uncle.

20234-24 14-68. Now what? (The 2024 Offseason thread)
Hongbit replied to Motor City Sonics's topic in Detroit Pistons
No way that he can turn this down with his injury history. Too much money. -
Another rough day for two of the PGA’s young talented stars. Akshay Bhatia can’t close for the second week in a row. This time Rorying a 4 footer to force playoff Cam Young has so much game in the bag but lacking the mental side. There’s a reason he’s a 7time runner up that’s looking for his first win. He hit a bad drive with the lead on 14 and breaks his driver in a fit of rage and had to finish without it. He was +2 after that and finished tied for 6th. On a positive the course at Detroit Golf Club looked great and played harder than the course at the Signature event at the Travelers last week.

I think this makes them the team to beat in the East now. Interested to see how Boston counters. Maybe try to coax Blake Griffin out of retirement.

It was hyperbole but a 10 point debate poll could happen. Polls aren’t reliable anymore. Anyone can a buy one to say whatever they want.
-
The issue isn’t the debate. It has nothing to do with who won or lost or any of the points or policy discussed. It’s about something concerning that happened with a candidate that just happened to take place at the debate.
-
Trump was awful. I bet Biden would’ve gained maybe as many 10 points in the polls had he not had those moments in the first 30 minutes. It definitely hurt him.
-
I don’t know if he is or not. We are just discussing it since this is discussion board and that’s what we do.
-
All true but unfortunately this is not part of the public perception at the moment. It’s probably a great idea for the Biden campaign and Democratic war machine to start focusing on health much more with regards to Trump. If both sides are perceived to have the same issue, it’s no longer a deciding factor in the election.
-
His biggest problem is that he finds too much of the plate. If you miss over the plate at 98, there’s a better chance that you may get away with it than a meatball at 92 that gets hit hard and often.

This isn’t about losing a debate. I personally think he won the debate handily. It’s about how he looked on the stage and his age and mental ability going forward. That’s going be forefront on the minds of many voters. If this was an isolated incident and he was just having a bad day, it’s a non issue for the Dems. Let’s all move along and this goes away. The problem is that if things like this keep happening, it becomes an election losing situation. God forbid something worse than what we saw at the start of the debate happens in the Fall just a few months before election day. Trump would walk to an easy victory. The reality is there are no other options that can beat Trump right now. Removing Biden can’t be an option unless there’s been much more going on behind the scenes in his day to day functioning than we don’t get to see. If there was any real thought (not silly media rumors) of actually replacing right now, it would lead me to believe that these things have been noticeable for quite some time and people close to him and the DNC have been trying to keep them from coming to light.

Wow. That was unexpected. Looking closer it seems like Max still has the lead going into the corner. He does veer left a tiny bit and I don’t know if it was enough to warrant anything. Seems Lando got a bit aggressive going for it. He should’ve picked his spot better and waited for another chance. There’s no rational explanation for Max’s behavior after. Can’t block like that with a puncture and a damaged car. Not good.

I think he’s a good guy to get this team to winning 26 & 29 games the next 2 seasons. That should be the realistic goal.
-
Deion is absolutely a leader. He’s the lead actor on a TV show called Coach Prime. That’s the reason that he’s at Colorado. He needs to be a head coach to have his own show and it needs to be at a place where he’s bigger than the program.

Future considerations would be nice. Copp was coming off a great playoffs with NYR and sucked when he got here. Maybe Trouba can do the reverse.
-
Don’t think Trouba is that good but he fits the need for a vet blue liner. Also brings some much needed toughness. I’m on board if NYR treat this as a salary dump and pick up contract money and don’t ask for much in return. I hope they are still in on Roy too.

Have you gone back and watched the debate yet? You should even if you have to mute Trump. The Biden issues were pretty bad but he finished very strong.
-
Biden won the debate by a landslide but he’s always been a very poor public speaker. This was on graphic display for the first 20 minutes and unfortunately plays into the only real question mark to his campaign, which is age and cognitive ability. You should go back and watch. Biden settled down and ended up doing very well. He absolutely destroyed Trump in the debate. Trump was horrendous. He did nothing to help himself. He lied 95% of the time and rarely answered any of the direct questions. He babbled on about how he was fantastic without offering any actual substance. Typical Don BS that we’ve grown accustomed to seeing.
