Talk about overthinking it from the Ravens perspective, this was stupid. Michigan needed away from anything Harbaugh for awhile so I’m not upset about that. They look to have found an adult to take over. Harbaugh if he wants it will likely be the first choice on almost every NFL opening and I wouldn’t be all that surprised if a playoff team moved on from a coach that they weren’t planning on to go and get him.

Schedule for next year.... that looks doable for a turnaround. Home games: Chicago, Green Bay, Minnesota, New Orleans, Tampa Bay, New England, New York Jets, Tennessee, New York Giants Road games: Chicago, Green Bay, Minnesota, Atlanta, Buffalo, Carolina, Miami, Arizona

Week Eighteen: Detroit Lions (8-8) @ Chicago Bears (11-5)

I don't disagree it was a bad year in division but if we only win one more game in division or out of division we are in the playoffs. Do you think back on the season and think we probably gave a couple games away? If even 50% healthier at the Oline/TE position we are probably playing next week. I really just don't see doom and gloom for this roster yet. -

I do think Campbell will go thru the offseason rethinking his strategy going forward. Its not the aggressiveness on 4th down decisions when we could've kicked a field goal as imo that wont change. But, Its some of the clock decisions that a head coach who wasn't distracted by play calling changes and frankly some of the way to cute of play calls they used for no reason sometimes. I would be surprised if they weren't successful next year assuming they stay healthy. -

I mean yay!....... but also, that sucks (draft position). If we are going to miss the playoffs I like another year of a winning record and also getting a 4th place schedule for next year though. -
Week Seventeen: Detroit Lions (8-7) @ Minnesota Vikings (7-8)

Offensively I think this year has just been bad luck. Defensively I strongly feel that our scheme allows for more injuries specifically in the back 7. We are one of the highest man to man teams so we are always chasing and tired. This to me leads to bad tackling form and playing out of control which leads to more injuries. We need to mix in more zone or at the very least rotate earlier in the year more often to save snaps for later on. -

Linebacker could be a big need if Anzalone isn’t back, which I don’t think he will be. -

This team/organization is nowhere close to done. Their schedule was brutal this year and injuries piled up in specific positions. You add that to being to inexperienced along the line and it doomed their season. I have no doubt that they could run it back healthy next year and probably win the division. I do think Holmes will make the needed roster changes even if we don’t always agree with him and Campbell will make changes to his staff. -
Either way is fine. I just think you’re more likely to find a good rotational DE in the 2nd then a day one starter at left tackle.
-
Honestly linebacker isn’t a stretch to be the pick. Anzalone is probably not back and we could use a a replacement. Someone like Reese(doubtful) or Styles could easily be the selection. With that said I like OT there and look for a DE in then second.
-
Sounds about right to me. They are a very good team with elite players. Just hurt all around at key positions and are below average at oline.
-
If Ragnow comes back he will be the starter and Tate will stay at RG. No better place to learn then right next to him. That would allow you to have Mahogany and Frazier battle it out for LG and work at the other spot to take over in 27. OT is pretty good in this draft and I would not have a problem with them taking Decker's replacement this year. I could also see LB and DE in the first as there are some fantastic LB options in this draft and they tend to drop.

Week Sixteen: Pittsburgh Steelers (8-6) @ Detroit Lions (8-6)

It takes 3 drives resulting in a FG to beat one drive resulting in a TD. You are only going to get inside the 5 so many times. Secondly there are so many ways for an offense to get another set of downs due to penalty. Lastly the worst case most of the time is turning it over on downs and forcing terrible field position. -

I am almost always OK with going for it inside the 5 regardless of the results. -
I don’t know what their plan is at center but if I can take early season quotes into perspective they don’t like rookie centers. That to me screams either Ratledge moving over or a FA OC. I like a middle of Mahogany Ratledge Frazier, it doesn’t sound awful to me but we need some vet depth to help out and it might not be next season but more for 2028 season. I think if we draft an OL in the 1st it’ll be a tackle to learn for a year behind decker. As things stand today I could see us going OT, LB, Edge in the first round. Next importance after that to me OC, Saftey, Nickle/CB. A good TE prospect could entice me as well later in the draft.

We either need a completely new scheme defensively or are going to need to add more depth going into next year which honestly I thought they did before this season. It is glaringly obvious that the man to man style of attacking defense is leading to well more than average injuries. I believe our players are getting tired more often chasing around which leads to decreased injury avoidance. If we are going to continue to lead the league in man to man defense we absolutely have to improve the pass rush ability of the d line and rotate players even the stars in our secondary throughout the game more.

Dallas has professionals to. Their offense is good and the defense has played pretty good tonight i think. -

Thanks for finding that as its what I needed to see. Cant really blame Goff for protecting the FG. -

Seemed like Goff had the clock is in mind and threw it early and safe for atleast a FG. Id love to see a full field angle for the timing of when he actually let go of the ball. -

I agree that's ridiculous.....it just doesn't surprise me that we have more defensively then we get on offense based on how we play on both sides. -

Goff does not throw a lot of 50/50 or deep balls which is where the majority of the PI penalty are called. Are receivers are also excellent at getting separation its not a surprise to me that we don't see as many. Defensively we play the most man to man defense in the league which is going to get more called against you. -

I agree but still your throwing to a lineman who probably doesnt really know the check calls much. -

That was on Goff he stupidly checked to it. Looked like it was going to be in insert block with skipper as he was not ready. -
One would need to play 3rd part time at the very least as well and atleast Torres has been on record not wanted to play 3rd. I think that shipped sailed when Torres accepted in QO.
-
Meadows because of his elite defense is going to get all the chances he needs until Clark is ready. You can use Vierling, Perez, Baez and others there if need be but I’d be very surprised if that was a position they’d make a move at. Position player wise you can make an argument for a 3rd baseman although with Torres returning room is tight so it has to be a high level player and then it comes down to will they pay for that. Maybe a right handed corner outfielder as I think that could be cheaper and help balance out the lineup.
