  1. My boys and I during happier times. Cool seeing Ohtani, though.
  2. Generally, I agree, but if the Tigers want to sign a pitching lottery ticket every year, hoping they can fix them, I’m OK flipping them to accelerate the rebuild. When you’re ready to win, then you can try and hold them. I’m bullish about Lee, who we received for Lorenzen. Dude is only 21 and raking at AA. I suspect we’ll get better for Flaherty, if we move him. Might not be to the O’s, though, since they had him last year and he underwhelmed.
  3. I think it’s also known as the Never To Be Heard From Again list.
  4. What’s interesting, is if we can get a few bats going and get closer to .500 by the ASG, you could hold on to your assets, call up Jobe, which could be an imposing top 4 with Skubal, Flaherty and Olsen. We could even be buyers, flipping someone like Jung, for a big league bat. Wild Card? In full transparency, I’m drinking at O’Hare, so don’t judge too harshly 🍺
  5. May 13 seems a bit arbitrary, but we’ll take it.
  6. Interesting—I’ve not seen the typical amounts that the more elite players are getting in baseball. Seems likes it’s reported on more in football and basketball.
  7. All of our trade chips showed up today.
  8. It’s not as if Kelly is an offensive force. He’s adequate at best and a 2 year deal that goes sour, with the type of money he’d command, would not be crushing to any team’s payroll if you had to cut bait.
  9. Bring up Jobe late July. Dude is probably our 3rd best pitcher, behind Skubal and Flaherty. He needs innings, why not under the supervision of our best pitching coaches?
  10. This is ridiculous. We should avoid signing players to more than a one year deal because they might decline? I’ll defer to our front office to make that determination. Not every signing/extension pans out, but that’s professional sports.
  11. No one suggested that. The point is, if we select a pitcher, it wouldn’t be the worst thing if the front office think he’s the best player available at our spot.
  12. We probably need pitching more than position players right now. Forgetting the current offensive woes on the big squad, our best prospects, save for Jobe, are hitters (Jung, Clark, McGonigle, Lee).
  13. Agree. Where is the correlation?
  14. You came to the right place if you’re looking for 10 different and conflicting opinions.
  15. Nice to see Keith hit a dinger at home
  16. As a fan, how can you go to a Maeda game, if trying to see a competitive game is of importance?
  17. How quickly we forget the hyphenated one. It’s only an arm injury—he’s not dead.
  18. I think this is correct. We don’t have to move him—let another team pursue and do something stoopid.
  19. How do you know what he looks like?
  20. Add Willi to that mix
  21. I only see one person from an Orioles forum. Until others make their way here, we’re negotiating exclusively with the O’s.
