  1. Thanks for ruining it for us. I was planning to watch.
  2. Getting here late. Did I miss anything?
  3. Hoping for Phillies/Rangers
  4. Manning at this point might just be an inexpensive innings-eater. Still valuable to the team, but would likely yield very little in trade return. If so, better off holding on to him to give you innings in 2024 and hope something clicks with him. Then you have options.
  5. “Take off your game worn jerseys and write your names, legibly, along with the year you signed with these gold Sharpies. And then drape them neatly in each of these collectible shadow box frames.”
  6. He was not very impressive—I think we’d be selling low if we try to flip him this offseason.
  7. Very impressive. You could sell those. if you’re taking any commissions, I’d like a Deivi Cruz.
  8. Here’s where I was coming from: Skubal Erod/free agent replacement Mize Turnbull Manning Olsen Gipson-Long Brieske Faedo Flores/Madden/Hurter Jobe
  9. If we need either in 2024, then everyone got hurt again, unless it’s for expanded rosters.
  10. I doubt they would ban a pitch under these circumstances, but it would help the team and pitchers self-police themselves better.
  11. I’ll worry about all of this when the Tigers win their division and get a bye. Until then, I don’t give a ****.
  12. Ain’t life grand?
  13. Bigbie, if he makes it, is 2025. As it is, the Tigers already have 3 rookies penciled in for the start of the season (Meadows, Keith and Malloy). I suspect they will limit to that.
  14. I can’t get behind way too early. Jung performed very well at AA—he should start next season in Toledo. Zach Neto is already playing in the league from his draft class. No issue with getting some PT in Toledo, but he’s already on the cusp of being ready. I’ll be bummed if we don’t see him by July.
  15. I’m not sure neither Greene nor Tork would have gone through similar growing pains, even with more service time. Both had made it to AAA. Hard to discern between important develop time and service time shenanigans, but I’m fine with a prudent approach. We’ll likely already have three rookies in the lineup at the beginning of next year, which is probably pushing things.
  16. Unless they mother **** him like they did to Keith, he could be up quickly.
  17. Somebody please tell me how I should feel. Thanks in advance.
  18. This. At least until he can reestablish himself. I put him in the same camp as Mize for next season. Not counting on either, but both have the potential to be very good if they can get it together.
  19. Turnbull is the kind of high risk, high reward signing the Tigers should consider. Except that we already have him. I’m glad he’s still in the mix.
  20. I think we’re really underestimating Skubal’s trade value. Performance-wise, he was elite last season. And he has a reasonable salary. Any concerns would be health-related. His value is higher than ERod’s was, and apparently LA was willing to send us an attractive package for a potential rental. I’d expect that (plus) for Skubal).
  21. Malloy currently represents the lone Harris -era option to be a lineup regular.
  22. Ding ding. I knew Edman would take the bait 🤣
  23. I’m not worried about Greene, until his next injury. I think he’ll be ready for OD. Barring outside moves, it’ll be Greene/Meadows/Carpenter with Vierling filling in. Baddoo is one expensive Uber ride away. Where it gets interesting is in the infield.
  24. They are going to want to take an innovative approach and do something novel. It’s going to be Emily Walden
