ed hochuli is a defense attorney in phoenix. lots of carriers use his firm. i saw him once at a convention and he is HUGE! dude looked like the hulk. he was walking around waiting for someone to notice him. and yes, he was practicing while reffing on the weekends. i dont think it makes a difference if theyre full time or not. they only play games on the weekends, its not like mlb or the nba where they play multiple times a week and need full time officials. human error by the refs is part of the game. however, the league and refs should be accountable for their mistakes, which is not what happened here. -
i have a feeling buium is on the taro hirose path to AAAA stardom. if he makes it. he's been in college an awful long time.

gostisbehere is gone after this year (or this year at the deadline). maata will be gone after next year. plenty of time for prospects to come up. was edvinsson really that good when he played this year? does he need more time in the nhl? yes. but he didnt light the world on fire when he was here. he'll be a regular next year. the others on your list still need time to see if theyre good enough. theyre not nhl players right now. only edvinsson is being blocked now.

jordan love is playing like one of the best qbs in the league in the last part of the season. i do not want this to be another "brett favre to sterling sharpe in the end zone" situations where we are the foil in the playoffs to crown another packer great qb. -
from wheeler: Trey Augustine (G, Detroit Red Wings): So controlled in his movements. Always seems to be in the right spots and ready for shots. As good a goalie down low as there is at this level. Kicks absolutely everything out. Anton Johansson (D, Detroit Red Wings): Physical. Strong. Seldom used, though, after losing his top-six job to Theo Lindstein early. Axel Sandin Pellikka (D, Detroit Red Wings): His usual eager self putting pucks on net from the point. Got better as the tournament went on and became a real go-to guy for the Swedes. Hard to believe he was still their youngest D for the second year in a row. Nate Danielson (F, Detroit Red Wings): Scored Canada’s first goal of the tournament and set up its second. Was good later in the tournament, too. Thought he was just OK through the middle of it. Played with intention and consistency. Simplified his game but did so effectively. Did show some skill/skating in a depth role. Minutes rose in some important moments. When others sat, he kept getting shifts. Kevin Bicker (F, Detroit Red Wings): Skated well. Liked him in the relegation game, and not just because he opened the scoring (was on the puck more, moving his feet on and off the puck, holding it, and involved in play creation). Wasn’t otherwise super noticeable (that goal, in what was his fifth game, was on just his fourth shot of the tournament), though he did show some nice vision/on-puck play at times. Don’t view him as much of an NHL prospect, though, honestly. Had a nice run of play on a tour of North America last year and it got him picked, but his profile and play since haven’t necessarily reflected that. Will be a good mid-tier pro. Not sure I see more than that.

duren is 95% from the line in his last ten or so games? i still have an outside hope that he develops a mid range game and turns into a poor man's mcdyess. chris webber went from non-shooter to a decent mid range guy... again, dare to dream! i actually think that's more likely than ausar turning into an average shooter. ausar's shot is broke. they need a coach who can figure out how to use him because monty aint it. -

livers is useless. bad on offense and bad on defense. he's not even an nba player. and remember the beat writers telling us all last season and all offseason how much livers will make a difference and how great he is? that comes right from the front office. these guys believed livers was a difference maker. they have to be fired. killian is at least decent on defense and can run the offense. he's an nba bench player on an average nba team. but livers is useless. sasser might one day be a bench scorer. maybe. or maybe he develops into jalen brunson? haha. dare to dream. -

portrait of the douchebag as a young(er) man. it really sucks to have a despicable person as your owner. if youre going to be despicable and own a company that takes advantage of society's most vulnerable at least be competent at running the franchise. incompetent despicability is the worst kind of despicability. -
no one is going to trade for ville husso. he's making $4.75 million and he isnt any good. were trying to REPLACE him.
-
draymond works because he has/had two of the greatest shooters in nba history playing alongside him. ausar doesnt have that and isnt going to ever have it. i agree with everything else youve said.
-
i dont hate him now. of course i wont hate him if he becomes a great goalie. if he bombs out will you hate him?
-
lyon has been ok. husso has been bad considering what were paying him. reimer has been as expected: not good.

the refs will always make mistakes (especially in dallas). i would like more of an acknowledgement from the league that those mistakes happened instead of a cover up routine to make me disbelieve my own eyes. -
i dont have a problem with anything yzerman has done. if i wanted to quibble, i would say trading up for cossa, signing too many defensemen this year, and not taking enough draft chances on smaller skill players in lieu of big defensemen. but those are really small quibbles. its hard to go from the worst team of all time to a solid playoff team without lottery luck. wings are making slow progress, imo. i know their record is similar to last year, and i'm not happy with the goalies this year, but the team isnt getting run out of the rink anymore. baby steps. and im very excited for asp and danileson. i think those are home run picks.
-
im not against drafting goalies, i'm just against drafting them in round one. 🙂 i liked the augustine pick.
-
that was a huge win. the kings dominated them last year. kane may not play any defnese, but he's still got that top 1% skill.

washington has had some offensive stinkers in there. watch the arizona state tape. if you can make them one dimensional, you've got a decent chance to control penix. play a lot of zone, or throw johnson on oduze. but to win they need to control the game on the ground and not turn the ball over. washington's dline is not bama, or even ohio state. grind it out, control the clock, use jj's legs for once. be creative but not reckless. and for god's sake, dont muff any more punts.
