  1. young teams never play well in the AHL. ASP will always have the same issue: he's 5'11. that said, him deveoloping into a quinn hughes type of player would be something special. both of our first rounders from last year are performing well.
  2. eisen is incorrect.
  3. this is a sneakily very important game. that next bears game is now trending towards very competitive. although i dont expect goff to play that poorly again.
  4. the thunder had two seasons of 20 wins and then won 40 and are now one of the best teams in the league. the pistons have had four seasons of 20 wins or less and are still the worst team in the league.
  5. i remember listening to that on the radio. 😞
  6. cause he's not going to fire weaver.
  7. michigan opens a 4 point favorite.
  8. so putting ivey in the starting lineup may not have been the cure for the pistons after all...
  9. winning a game in which you play terribly is the sign of a good team. goff played one of his worst games but they still won.
  10. but i never said it wasnt a rule. unite in our dislike of james wiseman!
  11. still think theyre the best in the nfc? 😉
  12. ive said numerous times that michigan's administration is a mess. not sure what youre fighting with me about at this point.
  13. 28-3? you guys are delusional.
  14. right, i agree. the difference is what that punishment should be and the rhetoric around what happened. i dont think this is a big deal because of the reality of sign stealing being legal and everyone doing it. for practical purposes there is little edge gained by michigan over what ohio state did. in fact, i would say what ohio state did was more effective. which is not to say ohio state should be punished because what they did was within the rules. i propose to you that the reason behind the "no in person scouting" rule is antiquated. it is a rule to protect smaller colleges who dont have the means to send scouts to opposing games from the big schools (like say, all the big ten schools...even purdue!) who could send multiple scouts like nfl teams do. the idea that this is the worst scandal in big ten history, or even a scandal at all, is a media creation and the failure of the big ten commissioner to get his conference under control (and that includes getting michigan under control).
  15. without harbaugh and with all the injuries after the maryland game, michigan is probably an underdog in this game.
  16. they were losing 28-0 before they got a first down! a guard and a running back dont make that kind of difference. you guys are funny.
  17. the idea that david montgomery and jonah jackson would have made a difference in that baltimore game is absurd. do they play defense? come on.
  18. fair enough.
  19. and this year worry about not having one of the best coaches in football on the sideline.
  20. you dont show anything in the game before the game. they looked terrible against illinois last year too. worry about the things we should have been worried about all year: michigan's offensive tackles no super athletic receivers pedestrian pass rush only one really athletic cornerback ohio state's receivers
  21. i guess we have different ideas on what the "long term institutional objectives" of the university of michigan are. this is not meant in any way as a criticism of you or anyone else working to educate students at michigan. however, when i see tuition rates increasing multiple folds, when i see universities substitute foreign students for in state students because they pay more, when i see schools increasing class sizes and decreasing professors, increasing the use of cheap grad students or non-tenured faculty and paying them a pittance, increasing the size of the administrative bloat at the university with provost after meaningless provost, and sitting on billion dollar endowments that they use for junkets and new administration buildings and fancy athletic complexes, i find it hard to believe that the actual "mission" of the university of michigan is anything other than to make money for the university and the bureaucrats who run it. in that respect, having "student" employees who play football to advertise the university and make its big money alumni happy and donating more into the machine that is the "university of michigan", this new world fits right in. "the bureaucracy is expanding to meet the needs of the expanding bureaucracy." that's the university system right now.
