think of all the assets the pistons have poured into the center position: trading junk for bagley, trading bey for wiseman, trading multiple picks to move up and get duren, trading a future first to get stewart. and for what? duren looks good. everyone else is either a limited role player (stewart), a useless piece of trash (wiseman), or a limited second team offense only player (bagley). none of them are good rebounders except duren and that's mostly because he's an amazing athlete. we all talked about cap space and finally getting blake and andre and svg's mistakes off the books and what has it gotten us? NOTHING! second round picks and garbage role players. that's it. this franchise really makes me angry.

Week Twelve: Green Bay Packers (4-6) @ Detroit Lions (8-2)

fields hasnt played like that all season. the bears finally did what they SHOULD do with fields: let. him. run. if they keep doing that they will score points on other defenses too. they sat him in the pocket for the first 5 or so games of the season and he looked awful. cause he cant do it. what he CAN do is run. and he did it effectively against detroit. this year and last year (in chicago, the game in detroit the bears quit). -
https://sports.yahoo.com/is-college-athletics-headed-for-the-great-split-we-need-to-recreate-or-relaunch-the-ncaa-160523061.html the end is nigh and they know it. they know that the athletes will soon be legally employees and that the next step is unionization and collective bargaining. its the only thing that will keep their salaries intact. the "revenue sharing" will be what breaks them up. why should michigan and ohio state share anything with rutgers and northwestern? they bring nothing to the table. schools like indiana and purdue have basketball, but that's not nearly the moneymaker football is. they'll be lucky if the big boys decide to bring them along (they have to play somebody!). once the players are getting paid you'll see smaller college football end or change substantially. no way central michigan can afford to pay many players. or perhaps the mac teams of the world just form their own payment structure that is on another, much lower tier? maybe we see those types of schools become a feeder league for the power 5 teams like the ncaa is for the nfl right now?

i actually think the defense wasnt all that awful against the bears. only 26 points allowed with 4 turnovers by the offense - some in plus territory - isnt that bad. the lack of pass rush is still a concern. jerry jacobs at corner is a continued concern. jack campbell getting lost in coverage is still a concern. but that is what it is. that's a talent issue not a scheme issue. they should beat the packers. they actually really need to beat them given the vikings' upcoming schedule. -
eagles-chiefs was the most watched mnf game in 25 years.

monte morris getting an injection in his back. will be re-evaluated in 6-8 weeks. so he might be able to practice by february. helluva job by the medical staff clearing that trade

that article is the usual JEIII list of excuses for Weaver. when he writes anything that is even mildly critical of weaver, let me know. the only time i've ever heard him criticize weaver was a very mild criticism that the bagley contract was a bit of an overpay. nary a criticism of bey while he was here, and nary a criticism of the weisman return for bey. nothing on how monumentally bad this team has been for four straight seasons. just lots of stuff on how great stewart is, how cade is the best, blah blah blah. not one article on how this team doesnt work around cade. just one excuse after another for a gm with the worst record of all time. i expect the team to be mildly better if morris and bogey ever get healthy. if they dont, that will be the excuse. if they do come back and the pistons are more competitive but still losing, it will be "they're on the right track." more bs from the pistons media department, aka the beat writers. -
that was always going to be approved. over the objections of the people in evanston who object to everything Northwestern tries to do. and it was always going to be approved by the politicians who will give northwestern whatever it wants.

since trading for james wiseman the pistons are 4-35.

hard to believe the pistons lost with isaiah livers playing. all i've heard is how valuable he is to the team. -

no jokic, no malone. can they break the streak?!?!?!? -
young teams never play well in the AHL. ASP will always have the same issue: he's 5'11. that said, him deveoloping into a quinn hughes type of player would be something special. both of our first rounders from last year are performing well.

this is a sneakily very important game. that next bears game is now trending towards very competitive. although i dont expect goff to play that poorly again. -

the thunder had two seasons of 20 wins and then won 40 and are now one of the best teams in the league. the pistons have had four seasons of 20 wins or less and are still the worst team in the league.
